Story Behind The Song
Pro Review
Very good song. Lyrics were well written and the vocals were right on. Great recording.

Liked many aspects of this A LOT! Great lyrics and story; an excellent concept very well executed. Liked the vocalist very much = excellent nuanced modulation with beautiful done and attitude to fit. Liked the way the singer let those long drawn out notes at the end of some of the phrases drift out with measured vibrato. Thought the precision of this was fairly amazing, considering the absence of percussion - even if this was recorded to a click track. Enjoyed the contemporary lyric and subject and the universal human feelings. Very compelling. Not sure if this was for some purpose that didn't need percussion, but thought that this, as a song, could be helped by some - maybe subtle - percussion. On the other hand this has a charm of its own as is. Thought this would be more powerful if it were a little shorter. Overall though 5/5 Definitely!

Lyrics
LIKE WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE
(STEVE DAFOE 2010)
(COPYRIGHTED)
VERSE 1:
Amaj7 CM7
HER EYES TELL THE TALE
OF LEAVING HER ONE LOVE BEHIND
G EM
SOLD HER SOUL TO MARRY RICH
LET THE GLITTER FILL HER HEART
Amaj7 CM7
ON FACEBOOK SHE'LL TELL HER TALE
TEXTING EVERYONE ON EVERY DETAIL
CHORUS 1:
G (PICK) Fmaj7 (PICK)
YOU CAN SEE IT....YOU CAN FEEL IT
G (PICK) C (PICK)
FOR HER LOVER SHE LEFT BEHIND
G (PICK) Fmaj7 (PICK)
TRUE LOVE FLOWS THROUGH HER
Fmaj7 (PICK) C
MUCH LIKE WATER UNDER A BRIDGE
LIKE THE WATER UNDER A BRIDGE
Fmaj7 C
UNDER A BRIDGE
UNDER A BRIDGE
VERSE 2:
Amaj7 CM7
THEY HAD A CONNECTION THAT
COULD ENDURE THE TEST OF TIME
G EM
A LOVE THAT WOULD OUTLAST TIME
THE REALITIES NOW WASHED AWAY
Amaj7 CM7
SHE THREW IT AWAY...ON A SUNDAY
CHORUS 2:
G (PICK) Fmaj7 (PICK)
TEXT'S AND PHONES HIM ON HER CELL PHONE
G (PICK) C (PICK)
THAT SHE'S LEAVING WITH THE RICH GUY
G (PICK) Fmaj7 (PICK)
NO MORE CHANCE AT THEIR ROMANCE
Fmaj7 (PICK) C
IT'S NOW LIKE WATER UNDER A BRIDGE
LIKE WATER UNDER A BRIDGE ....
Fmaj7 C
UNDER A BRIDGE
UNDER A BRIDGE
VERSE 3:
Amaj7 CM7
AND AS THE YEARS START TO MELT AWAY
SHE MAY FIND OUT IT'S HARDER TO STAY
G EM
SHE'LL FEEL THE PAIN OF HER CHOICE
Amaj7 CM7
LOOK ONE DAY FOR HER TRUE LOVE'S VOICE
SHE'LL HEAR HIM TO THE DAY SHE DIE'S
CHORUS 3:
G (PICK) Fmaj7 (PICK)
YOU CAN SEE IT AND YOU CAN FEEL IT
G (PICK) C (PICK)
HER PAIN IS ENDLESS AND EVER MOVING
G (PICK) Fmaj7 (PICK)
LOST HER CHANCE AT A TRUE ROMANCE
Fmaj7 (PICK) C
GONE LIKE WATER UNDER A BRIDGE
LIKE THE WATER UNDER A BRIDGE
Fmaj7 C
UNDER A BRIDGE
UNDER A BRIDGE
CHORUS 4:
G (PICK) Fmaj7 (PICK)
TEXT'S AND PHONES HIM ON HER CELL PHONE
G (PICK) C (PICK)
THAT SHE'S LEAVING WITH THE RICH GUY
G (PICK) Fmaj7 (PICK)
NO MORE CHANCE AT THEIR ROMANCE
Fmaj7 (PICK) C
IT'S NOW LIKE WATER UNDER A BRIDGE
LIKE WATER UNDER A BRIDGE ....
Fmaj7 C
UNDER A BRIDGE
