IMAGES OF WAR Waking up mid summer and scheming out A day of only pleasure As holding her my fingers tickle down her spine And she's loving it as I take her magic in As images of war come screaming through my head Digging up the graves and waking up the dead Busting through the village and flushing out the reds Trembling in a field as the only one who fled The rest are dead Stopped into a vineyard on balmy downs She wants sauvignon With sourdough brown as I think vintage fromage With pinot noir and to find a shady table As images of war come screaming through my head Digging up the graves and waking up the dead 21 and charming a bullet in the back Former young poet now wrapped up in a flag In a body bag Neath an olive tree I wait for her she's beautiful As breathing in I smell the sea and to the west Kahurangi looms above the rolling downs A mountain view redolent of Europe As images of war come screaming through my head Digging up the graves and waking up the dead Warsaw and Cologne in black and white decay And cattle trucks and guards that never go away Never go away
i liked it. good riff, catchy. solid melody. I liked the harmonies. lots of different influences I hear, to numerous to name. I think thats a good thing.
Good message...reminds me of a vibe reminiscent of the mid 60's
