Story Behind The Song
this started out with a broken hearted drink her off my mind blues motif.
But even though she found somebody new it wouldn't last long and she would be in the same emotional place sooner or later . I tried to give the story telling aspect of the blues pattern a little unpredictable chord movements but still keep it simple.
Song Description
I like to play fingerstyle acoustic blues ala Big Bill Broonzy. He used a powerful attack and rythmic pattern .Played without a thumb pick I worked out a way to sort of snap the bass lines. The lyrics take you to a lonely place after parting with a broken heart.

I'll Still Be Singing The Blues
Copyright 2004 Robert Stump
Here I am singing the blues
all alone with my heartache and booze
think I'll finish what's left in that old brown bottle
'cause I still got some forgetting to do
Did you hear me singing the blues
when you walked out on me and emptied my room
like a storm that came without warning
you showed up with somebody new
Can't you hear me singing the blues
as I lie in my bed with an ache in my head
and a half empty bottle of booze
and not a care in the world
cause you took all I had
now I've got nothing left to lose
chorus
and I don't know(care) where it all went wrong
but if you're ever looking for me
I'll be waitin for you down on the old lonesome road
You'll wind up there eventually(baby thats where you'll be)
just follow the sound of the (this ole) heartbroken fool
cause I'll still be singing the blues
