Story Behind The Song
People tend to forget that the value of life comes from scarcity (myself included). Scarcity creates value, and this is why many people who've experienced life-threatening circumstances tend to reevaluate their lives more than "normal" people. Their lives tend to become more valuable. Perhaps people can achieve more value by thinking about it instead of experiencing it.

Lyrics
As I sat alone...with my gaze at my feet, the door opened wide as he told me "please take a seat".
He says something like "How r u feeling?" and tears swell up inside
Life shrunken down to time-frames and pills...I don't wanna die (7th fret G string)
"6 months to a year" words frozen in time
My heart cannot hear the things that I know...it's not my time
Maybe someday Paris or Rome hillsides made of wine.
Never prepared ever was I to learn it was me on the vine.
I've been feelin' more down than up. I may be down but I won't give up.
I'll fight for each day while time ticks me away. Really, what can I say...it just ain't my time
What's left of me I swallow it down forcing my mouth open wide
Losing the things I had hoped I could be doesn't match up what's inside
People still say "you'll be ok" holding a heart made of sand
Please tell my girls Daddy will be always holding their hands.
I've been feelin' more down than up. I may be down but I won't give up
I'll fight for each day while time ticks me away. Really, what can I say...
I've been feelin' more down than up. I may be down but I won't give up
I'll fight for each day while time ticks me away. Really, what can I say...it just ain't my time. It just ain't my time. It just ain't my time.
