Story Behind The Song

This song was written to express an amount of love that I know people still feel but is often left out in today's society of music. I have always been a huge fan of romantic and beautiful love songs and I wanted to write one with a 1960s bossa feel. It's a sound I've always enjoyed since I'm an old soul. It's also personal in that I've been in love before and felt this way. I think a lot of people can relate to feeling this way at least at one point in their lives. It's also a great relaxing song. It is the first track on my second album "A Portrait Of LadyMay" and the first original song I wrote for the project. It was written and recorded in 2011 almost a year after I graduated college.

Song Description

It's a classic romantic love song with classy and poetic lyrics over a smooth latin bossa feel. It's lush string arrangement, simple but smooth horn lines, smooth rhythmic drums and percussion, and beautiful lyric align the song throughout. It is a pure expression of love from beginning to finish.
