Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song to give me comfort over the loss of my son (Cory) age 20...It took me 8 months after his death for me to come up with the concept of writing it in the first person as if I was standing over him while he lay dying in his hospital bed... I didn't want it just to be a memorial of my son's life, so I wrote it with the intent that it might help others in their healing process as well... Even though the song says "There are no more tears in my eyes to cry", there are alway more than there seems... Peace...
Song Description
Song offers comfort where there is none... Written in the first person was the best way I felt a last good-bye could be expressed. The spoken word in the fourth instrumental verse is a personal message and raises a question or does it reiterate things said before?
