Story Behind The Song
The concept was the idea of the vocalist Margaret (Girl Margaret) Canning. She's always saying that she wants to die before her 28th birthday so she could go out while she's still "young and fabulous"! She doesn't have a death wish, she just thinks that fate was kind to the likes of Jim Morrison, Janice Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix by taking them at the pinical of their lives. Its is NOT intended to be suicide related at all, or encourage any harmful lifestyle. Its just a matter of the hand that fate and destiny deals us.
Song Description
Like the famous legends of rock and roll, wouldn't it be fantastic to leave life on top of the world, before one gets old and jaded.

Lyrics
There's a point in life,
Where there's nowhere else to go
Nothing left to do
No debt left to owe.
When you've seen and done it all
What is left for us
Let me go while I'm still young and
Looking fabulous...
Up all night with girls and boys
And a man or two
Looking for another way to
Help unstick this glue
That keeps me here
Both feet on the ground
I get tired of askin
Why am I around.
Cause I want to be in heaven.....
.....forever............
Twenty-Seven!
Lookin for that one big kick to
Help me change my mind, but
A little ski and malt liquor
Is all that I can find.
I don't need addictions
To help me stay in bed
I do fine just laying here
And wishing I was dead.
Atropos just takes her time
Won't let me get ahead.
She just leaves me dangling
Hanging by a thread.
On the lamb like Willy Lee
Hoping for a fix
Chronos takes sabaticle
But the clock still ticks.
But I want to be in heaven.....
.....forever............
Twenty-Seven!
It's not a true reflection
Of anyone but me
It's not a conscious act
One that you can see,
Just like Jim and Janis
It must be destiny
So while I am here
I'll just bide my time
Letting everybody think
The choice is really mine
Drawing on the legends
Of those that went before
Hoping that reality
Leads me to that door
At the end of the day
When all is said and done
All that really matters
Is that I've had my fun
Let providence collect me
Without any fuss
Making sure that I remain
Young and fabulous
Cause then I'll be in heaven.....
.....forever............
Twenty-Seven!
It's not a true reflection
Of anyone but me
It's not a conscious act
One that you can see,
Just like Jim and Janis
It must be destiny
