Story Behind The Song
I visited a relative in Houston and she invited some friends over. They all started talking about guns and one woman talked about the special 'purse gun' she had that is minus the big hammer so it doesn't get caught on the purse!!!!
At the same time Rush Limbaugh rooms were springing up everywhere, BUT , Anne Richards (Democrat) was in power as governor in Texas's arts and intellectual capitol, Austin. I felt there was hope. That's all surpassed but the tune is open to lyric changes in the chorus if anyone wants to cover this.
Song Description
Texas is most representative of gun culture in the United States. From the woman who carries one in her purse to the asasination of JFK But there's hope, at least there was hope, when Anne Richards was governor.
