Story Behind The Song

I was on meditating on the anointing of God and thinking of it in terms of liquid oil from God. The bible speaks of the latter rain and the former rain. I thought how wonderful it would be for God to rain down his anointing and to walk in that anointing.

Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. This song is a request of God to send his rain and to enable us to walk in that rain.
