Story Behind The Song
Playing around with African Beat Loops and untranslatable vocal loops. Put together the outline and my bass line and gave it to Producer Mark Riddick and Drummer Wes Little & Guitarist Randy Flowers. The closest translation I could get of Baba Maru etc. after searching many dialects was something like Daddy take care of your Mama. Rahsaan Barber played Great Sax as always throughout but it was a bit busy in the mix so we kept his lovely outro.

Lyrics
ba Baba She ba Ba oo Oh She Baba
Baba Baba She ba Ba oo Oh She Baba
No the devil he don't come my way
He knows he better stay away from me
Me and mine we don't play that game
Sunny skies remain the same
At night the moon turns on his light
Makes sure the stars shine so bright for you and me
Baba Baba Sheba Ba oo Oh She Baba
Baba Baba Sheba Ba oo Oh She Baba
All the people they sing and dance
You and I play at sweet romance
The antelope jump and prance away
The lion thinks he'll take his chance today
He knows it won't be his last foray
Laughs as he hears all the people shout and say....
Hey... Alright
