I wrote this song when I first got saved, 35 years ago now. I wrote it so fast I knew it had to be God. Looking at the lyrics now, it seems the "church" doesn't know Jesus at all. His suffering means nothing if we have no feelings, if we do not suffer rejection too, that is, actually feel it and not live in denial or drugged up to feel no pain. Life is painful if we truly live. We need His comfort to go on.
