I was in a parked car outside the Waldorf Astoria trying to figure out how, how I was going to move on. Because my mother had died, you know, many years before. And I sat there. And on a napkin in the car I wrote the lyrics. That night when I got home, I sat in front of the piano and wrote the melody. And that's how I got through both their deaths. And they were two great people. Truly two of the good guys.
