50 is Dorothy Wallace's first release of new music as an artist in 15 years. With a title inspired by Adele, this 5 song EP celebrates the reflection, regret, wisdom and peace of mind that come with being a woman of a certain age.
Dorothy Wallace started performing in the late 80s. Her first release "G Road" was named for the road in Brentwood, Long Island, which was the entrance to a large psychiatric hospital. Appropriately titled, the songs are a schizophrenic mix of heavy metal, country, blues, folk and punk.
In 2000 she released the left leaning Contemporary Christian album "Hand of God" in memory of her mother who died of ovarian cancer. Rather than fire and brimstone, the songs are inspired by the teachings of Christ of nonjudgement, forgiveness, humility and the golden rule.
Dorothy was included in CD Baby's 9/11 fundraiser "The World Will Remember" which raised money for The Red Cross and local NY firefighters.
