Jimmi Accardi is a professional guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He won two Billboard songwriting awards. He toured as guitarist for Chubby Checker. With his band The Laughing Dogs, he played guitar behind Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones of The Monkees.
He had an award-winning radio show, “Jimmi Accardi’s Rock & Roll Party", for 22 years on KVMR-FM. Jimmi’s music ranges from classic rock / Americana to rock & roll, to soundtrack instrumentals.
Jimmi was lead guitar, vocalist, and songwriter for The Laughing Dogs, a CBGB’s band that released 2 albums on Columbia Records, later re-released on Sony. The band had 2 songs on the Atlantic vinyl album, “CBGB - The Home of Underground Rock”, and is also on the Sony CD “Punky But Chic - The American New Wave”. The band’s song “Get Outta My Way” is in the soundtrack to the CBGB movie, and on the soundtrack CD. On
