Lane are a singer/songwriter duo, living in Sidmouth, South West England.
Cathy is the daughter of Mike Vickers, original member of 60's band Manfred Mann and the late Sue Vickers (became Bundrick) singer and composer. Cathy is also the step-daughter of John 'Rabbit' Bundrick, keyboard player with The Who.
Cathy & Anthony met in 1995, after a strangely persistant inner voice urged Cathy to move to Plymouth (of all places!) I remember phoning my Mum a lot after I had moved to Plymouth, and I kept saying 'I don't know why I'm here!' Well, the reason became clear, and the inner voice was right, because that's where I met Anthony. Anthony and Cathy began writing music together and got married in May 2001. We hope you like our songs :)

Here is a quote from our favourite songwriter, Neil Finn (Crowded House) "Our motto is whenever you make a mistake, do it twice." We are unamimously in agreement with that quote, because the best 'bits' in our songs are 40% intention and 60% mistakes. Not bad, all we need to do is mess things up a few times and we have a song! We both love simple songwriting, untainted by marketing rubbish, hence Crowded House and music from the heart.
