Merlo is a singer/ songwriter from Atlanta Ga whose main instruments are piano + voice. He is a strong tenor vocalist with a penchant for writing pop/ rock songs with many different flavors from classical, to classic rock to jazz leanings. He has been writing, performing and producing music for over 20 years with 4 songs in 3 different independent movies.
His new album Merlo " Frequency" has just been released in 2024. Frequency includes 14 tracks including 13 originals and one cover tune. Merlo covered "Walks Like a Lady" which was originally written by Steve Perry and recorded by Perry and Journey. 
The stand out original tracks are Runaway, Stranded, Love Me Like You Love Me, Turn It Around and Shelter. 
Shelter was also covered by singer Steve Knil who appeared on NBC's The Voice.

Hello fans and friends, I am putting the wraps on my new album of solo material as we speak!
Very excited about this batch of tunes. I wanted to write a true pop rock album based on my influences as a musician and just a fan.
I believe that this is my best work.

A little bit about Merlo

Merlo's primary instruments are piano and voice. He has been playing music for most of his adult life spanning over 30 years or so, Merlo started as a first chair violinist in a talented orchestral ensemble but found his main intruments at the piano and especially behind the mic. He was vocally trained at Jan Smith studios in Altanta where Usher and Matchbox 20's Rob Thomas have also trained. He has been writing songs and honing his sound for his debut album, "Songs from the ground up for about 3 years. Merlo, " my goal is to write in a wide range of styles of music that move me. I want to write for movies, tv, other artists and of course, for my own amusement." " I hope that these songs will inspire you the way other artitsts music have inspired me.

Personal note: Merlo likes long walks on the beach with pretty girls, (well now just one pretty girl, his fiancee) and eating sandwiches. (best invention on earth)
