As co-Ceo’s of Phill Brothers Entertainment, Parris and Colin Phillips are making big things happen. They are at the helm of a multi-faceted entertainment company that consists of a Record Label, Concert Promotions, Film and Video Productions. Today it's all business with the Phill Brothers.
Parris (P-Phill) Phillips and Colin (Cphill) Phillips began their careers at a very early age. They begin singing in a group called (Mirage) managed by the famed Music Producer and Manager Maurice Starr of “New Edition” and “New Kids on The Block”
Parris Phillips- Performed at several shows before landing his first record deal with Critque Records out of New York. At 15 he joined another group, The Superiors. Their biggest performance was on Soul Train. They eventually landed a deal with the legendary Motown Records and released their first single “Step By Step”, Parris started to put together and manage different groups. He then moved into the area of concert promoting. During some unfortunate times in his life, Parris spent time in State and Fed Prisons and was shot on more than one occasion, the last time leaving him fighting for his life. Still his passion for entertaining would never die, So he formed another group with his brother Cphill. They hadn’t performed together since the days of Mirage. That was something he always wanted to do again.
Colin Phillips- As a teenager, went on to perform as a solo artist. Colin was known for stealing the show with his smooth dance moves. He definitely demanded attention whenever he got on the stage. He later focused his attention on helping other artists. During this time he managed one of the hottest local male R&B singing groups Bob Clique. He also wrote and produced their entire album. He eventually released their single “Hostage” nationwide on his own independent label Big Boston Entertainment. The group’s single was added to twenty-six radio stations in its first week; with a hot video that followed which was played on BET, and other Video outlets. The single received rave reviews in BillBoard Magazine and other national media. In a split second, things took a major turn that landed Cphill fighting on a trial for his life in a trial which lasted 2 years. While in his trying times he made a vow to work everyday at doing what makes him happy.
Feeling the reality of how one second can destroy your life gave the Phill Brothers the inspiration to write a song commenting on the social and economical ramifications of young black males in Americas prison systems. The new single entitled “We Can’t Go Back” set to be released in November, cuts to the very core of hard core hip hoppers while presenting a strong uplifting social comment on the state of the young Black Youth being horded to jail with no ending in sight.
P&C Phill performed at shows with a host of different artists including JaRule, Dave Hollister, 112, Faith Evans, Cameron, Noreaga and Beanie Segal, Mystikal, Genuwine, Jagged Edge, and Jaheim.
