Princess Ugly are influenced by goth, post-punk, darkwave and adjacent genres. Their music, while of a darker nature, is also accessible and occasionally danceable. Princess Ugly was established in 2006 by J. Christopher-Rome (vocalist/lyricist) and joined by Christopher Moncrieffe (multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/composer) in 2009 to form the core duo. They are from Portland, Oregon USA.
