Rick Szekelyi has been playing guitar since he was eight years old.  After six decades, he decided to get serious about songwriting. Influenced by Townes Van Zandt, Kris Kristofferson, John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, Guy Clark and Steve Earle, his writing is story-based and captures sounds from days gone by, different lands and cultural. To encourage others to pursue songwriting, Rick has hosted numerous songwriter circles facilitated songwriting workshops.
