The Supplement was formed in early 2011. The band evolved when ex Bombshell members Brian Michaels-guitars, Paul Ensley-bass and Greg Yocum-drums, decided it was time to make the change from a "snotty 77 style" punk band into a more mature, but still exciting hard rock band derived from their punk rock roots. Their idea was simple. They were to combine the hard hitting riffs that they were known for with "melodic blue collar" vocals. The music was influenced by the bands that they had listened to and admired from the places where they had grown up, including Michigan with The MC5 and The Stooges, and Southern California with The Descendents, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, The Minute Men and so on... The band was complete after the addition of Dano, a vocalist who was formerly in Never Ready and several other OC punk bands.
The 13 song release consists of honest lyrics projected with cutting vocals, mixed with a heavy hitting focused rhythm section.

The band immediately began writing the music that would become their self titled release. The Supplement was recorded in Los Angeles in between playing shows with bands such as The Dwarves, Cro Mags and TSOL to name a few. The 13 song release consists of honest lyrics projected with cutting vocals, mixed with a heavy hitting focused rhythm section. The mix is intended to make listeners feel like they are in the room with the band. The self titled debut is exactly what the band is about, honest back to your roots rock and roll.
