Music from the Heart
Lisbeth?s love for singing started during her childhood in Norway. God planted a seed in her heart to sing music for him when she was a young girl. From this love of music grew a passion for worshipping God. With her guitar and sweet folksy sound, the yearning of Lisbeth's heart is to usher God's presence into the room, touching the listeners with His love, healing and joy."
Growing up without a mother, who passed away when she was 3 weeks old, a turbulant home life and failed relationships later in life drew Lisbeth closer to God. She found consolation and peace through song writing. During these times, God showed Lisbeth that He was there and loved her through it all, telling her that she was precious and beautiful in His eyes. Many of the themes of her songs came from these experiences of God's love and acceptance. Lisbeth's inspiration in music comes from artists that usher a listener in and allow her to bask in God's presence. Some of these artists include Phil Driscoll, Hillsong and Annie Herring.
Her first CD, "The Blood and the Cross" debuted in 2005. Lisbeth visualized an image of the cross with blood on it, and had a fresh comprehension that without Jesus? sacrifice we would have no hope and be in darkness. Through her songs, she prays that her audience can be free and joyful and able to worship God with singing and dancing.
Lisbeth has been part of worship teams at churches in both Wisconsin and Norway. She also has performed in coffee shops and other venues in the upper Midwest. She enjoys singing live, to see people touched by her music and to be able to share her life and experiences.
