Background
Born and raised in Hampshire, England Alistair began his musical education at the age of six, when he studied the violin & piano - sang in the Romsey Abbey Choir - toured with the Southampton Youth Orchestra through Europe and the US. He has always had a strong passion for Film music (citing Hanz Zimmer, John Williams and more recently Trevor Rabin as key influences). He began playing the guitar at school, gigging and recording with a number of bands during the 90's on keyboards including Ryptyde (Rock), SouthSide (Soul), Intrinsic (Metal), Far Cry (Pop) & Deep (Alternative). He wrote and recorded a pop inspired album in 1996 with Far Cry 'And So It Begins...'. (keys and guitar) and performed (keyboards) on the 1999 Deep album ' Changes'. Studied Music at A-Level and with the Berklee School of Music. In 2008 Alistair, recorded a new album, 'Dakota Highway' with the Buffalo Badlands (guitars, keys, bass, vocals). He has a diverse musical background and takes inspiration from many different artists, genres and musical styles. A follow up Badlands album is planned for early 2011 'Desolation Boulevard' however the primary focus continues to be to write songs in different genres working with a variety of male & female session vocalists with the long term aim to achieve commerical success and recognition in the music industry.
