There hasn't been a time when I didn't do this. It can be 3 am in the morning and I get the urge to write music. As silly as some of my songs are, I always find something to sing about, because my life just has to have a soundtrack. Music elevates every emotion, heals every wound, mends every broken heart...

It is a call from within that keeps me in the music, and the music keeps me here, grounded and floating at the same time. Without it, life would not be as electric and magnified, and silence is not an option.

Anamari is a Mexican singer-songwriter and one of the new voices of English and Spanish indie music. Together with the piano, an instrument Anamari learned to play during childhood, her songs transcend a universe full of ingenuity and maturity all at the same time.
