Endowed with a voice smooth as cognac and a knack for writing well-crafted songs, Seattle-based singer-songwriter and pianist Andrea Wittgens has been writing pop music since she was a teenager. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Wittgens grew up under the influence of her parents sizable jazz collection, rigorous classical piano lessons and of course the Top-40 songs that were able to make their way, static and all, to her little bedroom radio. Stylistically, Wittgens’ songs are unquestionably pop: memorable melodies, lushly layered vocal harmonies, hooks and lot’s of ‘em.
