Arcadia Sound was born in a basement studio on the dark side of Halifax also known as Dartmouth.

The duo, comprising Adam McLellan (electronic music producer and DJ, Snug) and James Spray (of The WAX), explore the collision between electronic music and more conventional genres such as rock and pop. The result is something as gritty as it is easy to listen to.

"Arcadia Sound was formed when we decided there had to be more to life than simply briefcases and bills to pay" says James, jokingly. "Our music resonates more with who we are as opposed to with a specific genre."

Adam adds: "One of our goals for the project is to share electronic music with the world without pretense, without borders and without barriers. This means diversity; not just banging out 130 BPM electro tunes all day but drawing from all ends of the electronic music universe."

Arcadia Sound released their debut self-titled EP in March of 2012.
