Hi Jay, Many thanks for a kind review of Remember Last Summer, it's very encouraging, especially as I'd only just taken it out of hibernation!! I don't do much pop/easy listening and in this case I'd put it away because I wasn't so sure about the vocal but an instrumental version had a great review recently so I had another listen and thought it wasn't so bad after all. I get your point about about the song length, am considering a bit of cutting and trimming right now! I've had a quick flit through some of your songs, very impressive range of genres and styles. Considering you bill yourself as a writer rather than a composer, I have to say you have some great melodies and arrangements. No wonder you've had placements and covers. Hi Jay , thanks for the great review of Dancing On Air . It's a funny old game , the only other review I've had of this song , they slated the vocal ! I guess beauty is in the EAR of the beholder .
I am not saying the vocal is bad I am saying that a younger voice would work better based on the lyrics.

Jay your Are You so Sure, is another big sound. Again, superb vocals! Very strong! The music was very dramatic from the off! Maintained it throughout with the piano and guitar lead. A very expressive song which was almost a Show on its own! Superb! Again, five stars, however, no Lyrics to follow this time!

Hi Jay, Thanks so much for the review of my song "One Red Rose" sang by Mike Browne. I have to tell you that Mike is not a singer and was actually a co-worker of mine for quite some time. I heard him singing one day on the office and asked if he'd be willing to try recording a song that I was writing for a woman I had met and was going to marry... that of course is my lovely bride, Jane. He was game and at the time (in 1999) I was recording in a spare bedroom and using the bathroom for the sax solo! I think Mike did a really great job given his "experience" and the environment. If your so inclined, I have two other variations of this piece on my Broadjam page. One is a short instrumental Interlude and the other is a more up-tempo version sung by yours truly.
