Thank you for selecting The View. Hopefully, it will find a home through your music service. Best to you, Alan Hesse, 712-898-1660.
Michael, sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner. This is not a co-write and I do have releases from all the players from the recording session. This is a Roger Nuemann arrangement of my song. Roger, too was paid as a work for hire, as was the vocalist.
I do own the master recording as well and am registered with ASCAP.
Love your songs, Alan! I have written a few jazz songs, but you have a great catalog here!
This has a definite infomercial potential. Good work Alan
Thank you!
Absolutely Beautiful Alan!
Thank you. It is nice to receive your comment, Alan
Regan, amazing songs! Do you ever collaborate? Would you consider doing vocals to another songwriter's songs. Best to you in 2018! Alan
Lana, Thank you for the endorsement. The song you endorsed "That's The Way It Will Be" has a female vocal by Dee Alexander a premier jazz vocalist from Chicago and known internationally, and a male vocal by Milton Suggs who know resides in NYC, NY. Both are friends and comrades of the music scene with my son Scott Hesse who is a jazz guitarist in Chicago. Thank you again, and I hope to be able to provide you with songs in the future. Best to you, Alan
Nice
Thank you.
Hi Alan, I just listened to Sweet Tea from Tennessee. Great song. You've got a great fiddle player. Is it you?
John, Thank you for your generous comments. The fiddle player is a real tracks fiddle from Band In A Box as is the entire song actually. I've been doing some experimenting with these real tracks and you can get some pretty believable music. Again, Thanks for the comment. Alan
Ah, that's great to hear. You did a great job on it. I created Strawberry Moon with the same program, except the harmonica is my performance that I added to the tracks. Do you do all of your engineering?
I do on the instrumentals I create using BiaB, but several of the vocal pieces I have had done at a studio in Nashville. So where are you located John?
By the way I'll check out Strawberry Moon later today when I get home.
Great R & B influence and what a wonderful vocalist. Again a great message. Alan
Wendy this is a very good rap song and I really respect the message you are delivering here. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your review of Jelly Bean. I'm going to take some time to listen to your songs before I leave your site. Best to all of you Alan
Jim, thanks for the comment on Last Thought. Alan
thanks alan for reviewing Christmas time and the comments given.
Hello!! Thank you soo much for your amazing review of "til the end of time".... That was the first "upbeat" song:) I decided to write for my family, ( hubby and 4 kids:))..... Anyway it means so much to me, and I have been here on Broadjam for only 2 weeks.. Everyone has been so supportive and amazing!! Thks again.... Let's connect.. Many Blessings.... Julia
Julia, you're a very good song writer. I expect great things from you. Alan
Thanks for the review of "What Did I Say?".
Hey Alan thank you so much for your 5 star rating of "Just You And Me", I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was the first song I wrote on this funny banjo meets uke instrument, i bought, after only learning my first few chords on it a couple of days earlier. Pretty funny huh! and I still haven't learnt any more chords. I dig your cool jazz stuff. The guitar playing on Espresso Django is off the chain. I think I had better go and now and practise :) Cheers man
Thanks Lindsay. We're all trying and one of these days our dreams will come true.
Hi Alan, thanks for a glowing review of "What You Do" ! I like your music--I listened to "Ghost Train," "Uncle John's Suit," and "In the Snow." In the Snow is a radio worthy tune, love the Bluegrass of Uncle John, and Ghost Train has a cool Ventures vibe! Jeff
Hey there Jeff. Good to hear from you. It's been too long since I listened to what other writers have been doing here. Your music is very good, and I'll be listening to more as I can. Alan
hey alan, i appreciate your kind words in reviewing 'when you touch me'. i wrote that in the hot tub one night...humming to iz's 'twinkle twinkle little star'..i had some bites and a hold, but ended up in a film/tv catalog. see ya! kenm
Ken, I can't believe that song wasn't picked up by an artist. It should do well in the film/tv catalog. I may have been to hasty when I gave away my hot tub. Smile. Alan
Thank you for your well thought out commentary on this song. I will take much of what you are saying into consideration. There is much that I believe can be done with this song to make it stand out and your suggestions will be very helpful. Alan
Alan, Your song was a very nice listen for us. We are delighted you think some of our input might be helpful. But, in the end, you have to be true to your trust in your music. We appreciate having the opportunity to add our thoughts. Good luck with this song! Alan
Raldo, I've been sitting here this morning listening to just about every song you have posted and you are one fun and good songwriter. I predict you're going to do very well at this site. Alan Hesse Council Bluffs, IA
Alan, Thanks for the support!
Love You Forever, is nicely done.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! I keep trying,But I haven't sold any yet!
Hang in there Tommy. The first song I ever sold took 38 years and 7 re-writes before it was picked for a Hallmark Movie. I also just signed a contract for another instrumental so I'm pumped, but know that it sometime comes down to luck rather than being good, although being good is probably the best. Alan
Hey Tommy, Gave you a new listen today. Way to go my friend.
Wow Alan, You are the first to listen in months! You are very kind! I am ahead on my reviews, but I have a lot of songs that haven't been reviewed as yet!
Well I thought I'd try to catch up with some of my songwriting buddies. Hope all is well with you.
Thanks Paul,
Hello Roy and Travis, Thanks so much for hosting my visit to Broadjam last Friday, May 31. I had a great time and learned a lot that will be helpful with my music endeavors in the future. I want you to know that I just signed a contract with Megan Oliver to put my song "This Time It's Goodbye" in their library. I know it still means they need to find the right end user but I'm one step closer and I might not be that one step closer without Broadjam. I hope to come up and visit you all when I can and I am looking forward to the writers events you are working on. Plan on me being a part of that. Again, thank you. Alan
Congrats Alan!!!
Hey Alan, It was nice to meet you as well and I appreciate your feedback. Congrats on your contract and hopefully you'll get a placement soon. All the best and thanks for being a member.....Roy
Abigail, been listening to you sing these great old songs. What a wonderful voice and nice arrangements too. I see you are at Pete Miller's this evening (5/21). That's a nice venue for this kind of music. I've only been there once, when my son Scott Hesse played there, but really enjoyed the music the atmosphere and the food. Best to you. Alan
To the provider asking inquiring about Sweet Tea From Tennessee, there may be another song out there titled the same but this song was created in my studio one month ago. Thank you for considering this song and though I don't at present have a similiar song I believe I could put together more songs like it.
To the provider inquiring about Sweet Tea From Tennessee, if you are referring to GNATA Publishing, that is my registered publishing company with ASCAP.
Amazing song Fran. Makes me aspire to be a better song writer. Best of luck, this song deservers to be heard.
