Nel-E-Nel
Music is my passion. As a child I've always favored the radio over T.V. I Learned to play conga drums at the age of six and have had dreams about making music ever since. I have always been fascinated by the art of expression in rap music. Determined to involve myself in the rap world I practiced freestyling. But then the tides turned and options withered away when my loyalty to the street game got me locked up in jail. Fourteen years later with eight year behind bars and the other years struggling against the system, I found myself free again. Free to pursue my childhood dreams without interruptions, other than the obstacles of being older, having no believers in my ability, and being a convicted felon. Determined to not let that be an excuse, I executed my plan to prove my worth in the music game by being as original as possible. I started in November of 2012 by building my own computer from scratch. Then to teaching myself how to create Instrumentals, play a piano, record and edit vocals, and mix mastering my own tracks. Now, in August 2015, I can honestly say that I am good at what I do, I am not claiming to be the greatest, but do claim to be great for how far I've come along after many trails and errors. I live in the poorest county of California where hopes and dreams are scarce. I continue to thrive in hopes of being a positive role model by proving that dreams are possible and that people do and are capable of change.
