A BRIEF HISTORY

I BEGAN PERFORMING IN 1964 IN A GOSPEL GROUP WITH MY FAMILY, "THE WILLIAMS FAMILY". AFTER FIVE YEARS WE STARTED PLAYING ALL TYPES OF MUSIC AND TOURED UNTIL THE LATE 70'S. IT IS RUMORED THAT "THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY" WAS BASED ON US.

I HAVE PLAYED POP, ROCK, COUNTRY, OLDIES AND EVEN SPENT SEVERAL YEARS PORTRAYING GEORGE HARRISON IN BEATLEMANIA. I HAVE PERFORMED EITHER ONSTAGE OR AS AN OPENING ACT FOR BILLY JOEL, WILSON PICKETT, SHA NA NA, BARBARA MANDRELL, DR,HOOK, DANNY BONADUCE, JOE PISCOPO, J.D.SUMNER AND THE STAMPS QUARTET, JEFF LaBARR (CINDERELLA), MYRON FLOREN, GEORGE MORGAN...

I WAS ASKED TO PRODUCE A SERIES OF VIDEOS FOR THE PIONEERS, A GROUP OF ROCK AND ROLLERS PLAYING A POP/ROCK/COUNTRY MIX WHICH WAS EXCITING BECAUSE PLAYING BASS ON SEVERAL SONGS WAS NONE OTHER THAN JOHN ENTWISTLE FROM THE WHO. UNFORTUNATELY MR.ENTWISTLE PASSED AWAY BEFORE HIS PART OF FILMING AND THE PROJECT WAS SHELVED.

MY CURRENT PROJECTS INCLUDE THE RECENT RELEASE OF "ROCKIN' THROUGH TIME" BY THE ROCKABILLY REBELS, "ORIGINALS",A CD OF MY COMPOSITIONS ON WHICH I PERFORM ALL VOCALS AND INSTRUMENTS, "UNDER THE COVERS", A CD OF TUNES THAT MY BAND UNCLE SMILEY PLAYS LIVE, AND I AM ALSO RECORDING A GOSPEL CD.

MY BANDS

HERE IS A LIST OF THE BANDS I HAVE BEEN A PART OF. I WAS GOING TO PUT THE DATES, BUT I'M GETTING A LITTLE SENILE!!! I STARTED WITH.....
THE WILLIAMS FAMILY 1964-1977
RICHARD WILLIAMS TRIO
LEGEND
PANIK
BRUCE TELLER NETWORK
FIRE AND ICE
ROCKOLA

Thanks for your great rating & review of my Blues medley Stormy Weather/Can't Help Loving, George! Take care & have a wonderful new year ok? DeDe :)

Hi George, Thank you so much for the outstanding review of my song "Children of the World". This song I featured an Arabic singer as it has those Middle Eastern overtone.... mixed with the western Saxophone. I am the drummer and composer and got the song idea and groove from a trip to Tajikistan back in 2006. The song is in 7/8 but it is very smooth and many don't realize the song is in odd time. Anyways, thanks for the great review, it feels good to know that my hard work and attention to detail is being appreciated. You have good ears which allowed you to hear through seemingly ubiquitous stereotypes and were able to feel all the emotion and nuances hidden within the track. Dave - CenterPeace

Hi Dave. One of the things that I loved about your song was the east meets west vibe. Subtle, but effective. I have a piece of music that starts with a Middle Eastern/Indian vibe and then shifts abruptly to a western rock and roll groove playing the same melody. It is the only thing like that that I have done, and while reviewing yours mine came to mind. Only yours felt so real that it makes me want to revisit mine with fresh ears. So I really want to thank you !
