Hank (Henry Thomas) was raised in Los Angeles but his mother moved him and his younger brother to Long Beach just before he started High School. There he teamed up with Sleepy (Lamon Turner) who was born and raised in Compton. Together they became the most prolific production team west of the Mississippi. They have been referred to as the next Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis
In the Mid 90s Hank & Sleepy Teamed up with the Dove Shack and Produced Summertime In The LBC Which instantly became the Long Beach Anthem. Summertime In The LBC was featured on The Show soundtrack and quickly climbed to the top of the Billboard Top 200 Chart.
After such great success, they signed a publishing deal with Seven Peaks Music (Disney) where they worked on several projects including the Gangstas Paradise album, George of the Jungle Soundtrack, and Brothers Soundtrack just to name a few.
Today, Hank & Sleepy continues to lead the industry with their unique compilation of Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Pop. This duo uses live instruments with the influences urban street life to create Music.
