Bio

Born from the ashes of a number of Madison area bands, Transient was also born from the passion of these four Madison area musicians. Conceptualised by Mike (vocals) and Will (guitar), the band recruited Mike's long time drummer friend Paul, and was put in touch with John (bass) by a mutual friend.
The band took a little time to get off the ground, but started writing collectively in July of 2009. Drawing upon their individual and collective influences from across the board musically, they look to forge a new sound of their own, while using those influences to create a comfortable familiarity for listeners. Moments of brutal, heavy guitar will give way to melodic, with soulful and ethereal vocal and undeniable groove on drum and bass.
