Hi Isaac, Hey thank of the nice review of my song, "The Blue". Yes, the guitar is in a unique "open tuning". I have been creating "open tunings" since the mid-1960's and us them a lot on a lot of my songs. If you stop by my site and listen to more songs, you'll hear unique tunings through-out. Many are non-traditional tunings, where I have to change strings to get the tuning I am using. Of course, this song is in a waltz-like tempo so I think the tuning works well. Of course, there are also the lyrics and song, too....which I am glad to hear you also enjoyed. I write and have written songs in MANY styles over the year with over 2,000 composition.
