Alison has performed at a host of venues and festivals throughout her performing career, including Fitchburg Days, Atwood Festival, Madison's Jazz at 5 showcase, Milwaukee's Third Ward Summer Sizzle Festival, Isthmus Jazz Festival, Restaurant Magnus, The Barrymore, Shank Hall, as well as at the High Noon Saloon, the Brink Lounge, Memorial Union, Opus Lounge, and Tempest Oyster Bar.
Likewise, Alison have been showcased at many famous Chicago jazz haunts and festivals, including the Green Mill, the Hot House, Jazz Showcase, and the Navy Pier. Isthmus, Madison's premiere weekly entertainment publication, has highlighted Alison Margaret as a "Critic's Choice" over 4 times. Alison has been nominated 7 years in a row for the Madison Area Music Awards for categories such as best vocalist of the year, best jazz album of the year, as well as best original song of the year. Alison has been featured in articles in both the Isthmus Daily Page and The Onion A.V. Club.
