Bio 4000

Ausura is one of the coolest and funkiest singer of urban based soul that the world will hear.

Born under the sign of the scales, Ausura has achieved that balance musically. Growing up with a strong Christian base, he understood how the eco system, planets and other animals related to each other. He realized early in his life that music would play a large part in his life. As a grade schooler he took interest in playing in the school’s rhythm bands. His first formal music training began with the violin. And as with many Africans of America who grew up in the south, he began singing within the church.

Ausura began singing with various gospel groups in his neighborhood as early as seven years old. He sang as lead singer of a R&B group named the Shadow of the Stars back in the 70’s. The group covered such acts as LTD, Confunction and the Commodores. This group was very good. However, because of the lack of dedication, determination, and obligation to our nation, (ball of confusion) the group broke up achieving minimal success. Always thinking he had something profound to say, Ausura stayed focused as if knowing music would be the medium he’d use to relate to the people of the planet. And thanks to the invention of the personal computer it has now been made possible.

Even though he has played violin, harmonica, sitar, flute, trumpet, guitar, and piano, he never considered himself a accomplished musician. But through midi, and digital audio capabilities Ausura has molded himself into a respectable music programmer.

After during some formal training in college, Ausura’s music began to take shape. At Southwest Community College in Memphis, Tennessee he has developed a musical style he calls Funk-a-ballads. This style was developed by the fusion of groups like Parliament, Lakeside, Otis Redding, Al Green, Sam Cooke, and Johnny Taylor. When you listen to Ausura you can hear all of these elements almost like they’re welded into one. For this reason Ausura wanted to promote this style of music

Ausura has created his own label, Happy Hill Records that will release Ausura’s first studio album. Ausura plans to release a collection of music that he hopes will inspire that generation that want let the Funk-a-ballads die. Called Funk-a-ballads because of the absolute Funk and smooth crooning ballads that was created years ago, and still so prevalent in today’s music. “There are about four generations out there who keep active and still got the Funk. and I intend to deliver to them that Funk and those crooning ballads,” Ausura says.

Once an individual lends an ear to Funk-a-ballads, surely they come away with the Funk and satisfied with the crooning new ballad style information. They will also experience that something that they have never heard before. With the world now as it is, now is a good time to experience the artist Ausura. “More than ever, the world needs the Funk, and I will not let the Funk die.”

And growing up he remembers how he gravitated towards singers like Marvin Gaye, Gil Scott Heron, and Curtis Mayfield. And now that he is about to shine, we have a chance to here what A-Kube thinks the alignments, of the stars, psychic predictions, wars, secrecy, lies, famine, strife, hatred, and love are really all about. His music flavor may include a vocal drawl, that some may relate to as soulful and mellow. With that southern afro-drawl and his expressions he gives R&B somewhat of a different twang. He breaks down and does something soulful like Otis Redding used to do. And just when you think you got this dude figured out, he comes to you like the Nigerian Fela Kuti. , Fela who?....... Good luck world here come A-Kube.
