Hi Donn, Thank you for the superlative review of my piece "The Midnight Waltz." I really appreciate your kind words. I listened to most of your pieces. Excellent work both in composition and performance. I admired "The Plight of the Martyrs": very balanced and serious work, great development of themes and motifs, and clear and inspired orchestration. I would enjoy to continue the discussion, as you suggested. You can email me from my website www.danlazarescoumusic.com if you wish. Take care, Dan
I'll do it!
Hi Anne, Thanks for your kind review of my piece "The Sprite's Flight." I wish you continuing success with your music. Dan
Hi Jeremy, Thanks for your kind and fair review of my piece The Midnight Waltz. I do not log in too often and it's only now that I read it. Good luck with your own projects.
By the way, I listened to a few of your pieces and greatly appreciated their variety and quality, from Suspense Music to Orangutan.
Hi Dan I've been intermittent on BJ myself recently. Thank you for getting back to me post-review. It was a pleasure to listen to your music. I'll be dipping my ears in your music again this weekend... right now I've gotta compose a jingle!! All the best Jeremy
Dan Just listened to your Staccato cue which sounds great. I really like the shift in mood and orchestration. May I ask what orchestral software you're using? At some point I'm going to need to upgrade! Regards Jeremy
Hi Jeremy, Thanks for your kind words. It's the Vienna Symphonic Library. But it is not mine (much too expensive), so when I need "MIDI"-stration I collaborate with a friend of mine who has a wonderfully equipped studio. So maybe that's an idea for you too, rather than spending a lot of money. Although I know what it means to have your own software :-)
Thanks Dan, that's very good advice. I enjoyed The Sprite's Flight 2, too; I'm a flautist myself. JC
Hi Wallace, I only now have read your very kind review of the 3rd movement of my Cosmopolitan string quartet. Your are right on both counts: it is a studio recording of a real string quartet and there is a closing Rondo movement following Scherzo Adagietto. Thanks again for your very thorough review.
Dan, Just listened to your featured movement of the Cosmopolitan string quartet. It was an aural feast.
Thank you very much Wallace. I am on a family road trip until next week. I am curious how did you find about Cosmopolitan? I will listen to your music when I come back. Thanks again for your kind encouragement.
Bryant, thanks for the very thorough and helpful review of my piece "Good Day." You are right, a live performance always sounds better. I listened to your songs. Very original, you definitely have your own musical language and style. If you want to listen to more of my music check www.danlazarescoumusic.com Thanks again.
Hi Dan, My humble thanks for your complement. Granite Symphony Orchestra is a product of Void Studio Production Inc. Granite Symphony Orchestra specializes in production recording and performance. That is to say, we do exclusively studio work. Most of our work is a hybrid between analog recording and midi sampling, using session musicians and sometimes guest producers. All of Granite Symphony Orchestra's collection here on BroadJam are compositions of mine. Does that answer your question? Let me know if you have any more. -Benjamin
Thank you, Benjamin, for the great review of The Midnight Waltz. I am very happy that you liked it. I also listened to your Concerto #3. Very entertaining and a nice touch with that harp sound in the middle. Can you please tell me more about the Granite Symphony Orchestra? Thanks. Dan
Accent? Anyway, thanks for the review!
Why do you listen to a minute of silence? The song ends and that's it!Thank You!
