I hope you guys like what you hear. I am a songwriting hack. Nothing more. I make no claim to being a professional...just a random dreamer like so many others. My songs, like many many others, will languish in my head and my heart and probably die with me, when my day comes. But I hope one of them brings a little joy, or even a bittersweet pang, to anyone who listens. Who could ask for more?

Hello James,
just listened to your song. Like it a lot. Hope it gets cut.. I had 3 songs submitted and still not sure if they will be taken. But I do like the one they are holding. One of the songs is "Sooner Lady"
Sent it to dozens of places so far. I like your writing..Sounds like something Randy Travis could use.
I lost. my wife 18 months ago and still coping with that.. In case you wanna correspond here is my

Roy Clark just passed away at 85 years old. Some of you may not know who he was but he was a true pioneer in country music and many guitarists adopted his style of play. I covered this song of his several years ago because it touched me in way that few songs have or ever will. I feel it is an appropriate tribute to him. "Yesterday When I Was Young" RIP Roy Clark.

Yes, Mr. Mcfarland, I as a fan of Roy. Remember the song, I NEVER PICKED COTTON? And, IF I HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN? A lifetime of great songs!
