Allegro Moderato.....WOW! Are you sure you didn't live in the 1800's? Very authentic my friend.
Thanks for reviewing my song Desparado! Your time and feedback are greatly appreciated!
hello Arthur, thank you for your review of my chop of the backing insrtumental for my vocal song The Graveyard Shift--your comments are generally right on...this is a backing track for a vocal, so the castinets, etc make allot more sense in the vocal version, but i left them in for interest...but again, your comments were valid, and thank you for listening...if i can figure out how to send you the vocal, it MAY make more sense, but maybe not...LOL...cheers warren hein
I wish I could have heard it the way you originally conceived it! Anyway best of luck to you.
well, i tried to send it to you, but since we just became buddies, you weren't on my list...i'll try again now that you accepted...thanx much Arthur
Arthur. Many thanks for your review of my song 'Darkness' and your useful constructive comments. I am most grateful. Wishing you well from a snowy England! Matt
Yeah believe me we got plenty of snow here too (!) I'm glad my comments were helpful. Your music sounds great!
just listened to canyon blues, wonderful, authentic sounding, very nice work indeed...warren hein
Thanks!
hello Arthur and thank you for your review of No More Worries 'bout Me--because this was a cowrite, but basically me melody and lyrics, as well as my sing in this version, your comments are kind, but as important, the comments on the production, with just the loan piano played by my cowriter, are well taken--he produced this by "fixing" my vocal in many places, actually worked his butt off taking from 6 different takes, and since i always sing the song fully through, he has allot of work to do on this old tune...but i get the production comments, and i want to thank you for you DETAILED thoughtful review...all the best to you and your, i will check out your site now...warren hein
ps--sorry for dropping so many letters,,,,i DO know how to spell...LOL...wh
Hi Arthur, 'Eine Kleine Viennese' I take your point but you have the ear of a professional so I think it sounds acceptable. I think 'Peace' is a beautiful composition
Thank you. Wish I had a real orchestra to play my music!
Hi Arthur, Thank you for your review of ''Tierra del Fuego'', I found it most helpful.I know my string sounds are poor and I am about to upgrade to ''East West'' as I have heard they are much better quality. I do appreciate when reviewers give you an honest review with helpful tips so I thank you for that. I do admire the skill talent and quality of your own work and wish you every success with it .
Hi Dave; I have East West (Platinum) myself, and although it's better than most it can still be problematic to get the instruments to sound real; you can try tweaking the ensemble sound by combining different articulations. Keep watching, I'll post a piece I finished last summer ("A Little Viennese") and you'll see what I mean; it sounds OK in the beginning but by the end it's pretty clear I'm not working with the real thing. In any event, best of luck to you!
Cheers Arthur, I will listen with interest.
First of all thank you to all of you responsible for putting my music in various top 10s over the past few months! I have a new classical piece ("Allegro Non Troppo") I hope you all will listen to (similar to "Allegro Moderato"). Of course constructive criticism is always welcome! Enjoy, and please let me know what you think.
Hi Arthur, thank you so much for your in depth review. It's too bad you didn't get the vocal version which is much better produced. If you have a chance check it out with Phoebe Blume's vocal. Thanks again, Felice Kaye-Cooper
Thanks for your generous review of Asian Fusion. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
My pleasure..anytime
Thank you for your insightful review of "Indonesian Pulse". Good luck with your music!
Thanks for your kind rwview of "Dramatic". Love your music . . .best of luck to you!
Cool Music! Very talented! http://www.maxinesoakai.com/ 1
Thanks for your review of "Bahamarama". Love your music. Best of luck!
My pleasure and thanks for the complitment. Much success to you.
Arthur, please tell me how you recorded those gorgeous string sounds on Allegro Moderato! Sounds fantastic man! Very visual listening. Is that a group? Vienna Instruments? I am struggling to ever get anything to sounds that nice. Great job!
No Vienna Instruments here; sorry to say it's real people (!) and there is a bit of a story behind it. It's surprisingly difficult to find musicians in Boston! Write to me at incrediblygoodmusic@gmail.com and I'd be happy to tell you what happened.

Just want to say it feels wicked good to make the top 10 here in my home state! Maybe I'll have some lobsta to celebrate . . .
Thank you for connecting with us Arthur! We are trying to get more stuff recorded, but it is a process when you already work more than 2 jobs. Congratulations on your Top Ten! Looking forward to checking out your stuff later tonight after I am done teaching - Mitchell P
Thanks for your review of "Bahamarama". Your reviews are always clear, concise, and brutally honest. Thank you! (Love "Radiation Mountain" by the way)
I was so surprised that it was you Arthur--it didn't sound like your other music at all! I never want to be "brutally" honest but helpfully so. Now if I could just get halfway to your keyboard and arranging skill level...
Brutal IS helpful. Some people just give a piece all 5s with no constructive comments. While nice from an ego point of view those types of reviews can't really help me to improve my music . . .so thanks again
Thanks for your kind review of "Allegro Moderato" (and good luck with your music!)
Thanks for your valuable review of my song Dark Garden. I have written this song as a teenager (long ago). I could not many english words at that time, so the lyrics are childish. In fact I am not good to write lyrics at all. The song was recorded recently at StudioPros (LA) by professional musicians. I left the lyrics unchanged because I wanted to preserve the feelings of my youth (nostalgia). I wish you all good and success!
wishing you more of the same, Teflon! Mrs Kate
Thanks for your kind review of "Bahamarama". And you're probably right about it being too short!
Thanks for your review of "Asian Fusion". I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for your nice review of "Asian Fusion". Love your music . . . rock on!
Your welcome Arthur, enjoyed the song. Tommy
Thanks so much for your over-the-top review of "Allegro Moderato". It means even more coming from a fabulous composer such as yourself.
Many thanks. It is a pleasure to observe others demonstrations of excellence. That piece clearly is such, not to mention it just kicks ass!! Cheers!
Arthur. Many thanks for your review of my tune 'Into the Valley'. You are right, it is not real instruments and it is the first 'classical' piece I have tried to write. It is interesting hearing reviews of this one for that reason and I have learnt a lot from your help. Best wishes. Matt
Thanks for your comments. I will take them into consideration.
OK, if by "soundset" you mean "sample library" (US translation?) when I use anything I use East/West Platinum. I'd be happy to email an MP3 or two of some examples of my work using their sounds; just say the word.
Thank you for your kind review of "Allegro Moderato". Best of luck with your music.
Your review of "Dramatic" was very nice, thank you. You're probably being too generous, but I appreciate it (!) Actually I should maybe re-classify this piece in the Unique-Soundtrack category. PS Love your music!
Hi Arthur, I'd like to express my sincere thanks for your generous review of "The Great Outdoors". I'm glad you enjoyed the track and in many ways it is within the more traditional orchestral setting that my music is often most successful. I wish your every good fortune with your own compositions. Justin
I know what you mean. Wish I had a REAL orchestra at my beck and call!
Hi Arthur, I just reviewed your piece "Allegro Moderato". I was convinced these were real instruments. Would love to know what soundset you used to produce this piece with? Andy King
They are real instruments. I got tired of people complaining about the quality of my samples (!) Not sure what you mean by "soundset" . . .
Thanks Arthur for clearing that up. I thought they were real at the time. The "soundset" thing, yes I really meant samples or virtual instruments etc.... Andy King
From my experience the samples tend to sound better in large sections, or at least not in a string trio like "Allegro Moderato". In fact I've made the comment in more than one of my reviews that you need to be careful when you give an exposed solo to a virtual instrument, and in a trio there are plenty of exposed spots.
Hey. I made a mistake in my review of your song "dramatic", I thought you had labelled it as Blues - Rock, but I know see that it's tagged as electronic. But I still feel it's more Rnb'ish though. Anyway god job and all the best!
