Thank you for taking the time to review "Close Your Eyes." You raised a good point about balance. While it's always subjective, you've reemphasized to me how necessary it is taking the time to listen when mixing.

He and I have a mutual friend or two. If you see him, tell him I'm buds with Big John Mills and Andy Reiss. i almost got Big John to trade me one of Red's telecasters...almost.
How is your wrist doing? Know you had a bit of a setback.
Hi Dena! since the final cast came off it's been very painful but that is to be expected the doc said since it suddenly no longer has the support of the cast....today was a little better than yesterday so i am on the mend i think...some PT in a few weeks and i'll get back to my old self....taking longer than i thought but i'm getting there....thanks for stopping by...hope things are good in your corner of the world...x

Dena your "Nearness Of You" gave me the music chills....Beautiful delivery of one of my favorite songs.Again it's one I often sing myself...You really sang it so purely and it has great impact...I will be getting your album at some point because you truly deliver!
Oh .. thank you so much! It has been a signature song for a long time and when we started recording it, I heard the voice of my old bass player, Johnny Fitzgerald, whisper in my ear, "Alright, kid .. I was hoping you'd do that one." It has been his favorite so I appreciated him "visiting" to give me his stamp of approval!!

I miss him like crazy!! He would drive you absolutely insane with his stories (you know those "back in the day" things) but he was hard to beat on a bass and was one of the coolest "kats" to ever sing Bye Bye Blackbird. I bet he was something when he was a young guy. I like to think of him sitting on a cloud somewhere just absolutely working it out!!
I bet you miss him...Our fellow musicians are like our family sometimes...Bye Bye Blackbird, another I love doing as well as "Our Love Is Here To Stay".....I bet he is on a cloud working it out and I bet he hears you singing as well...There is a bigger picture I am convinced...Such a pleasure to hear your songs Dena!
