Thanks bro, I would like to get more plays, I dont do too much on here though except for submitting to licensing opportunities. You got any ideas on how to get my plays up? I do have 1 song thats #3 on the Heavy Metal Charts but I dont even know how that happened. HA! any advice would be welcomed.
thanks so much for the best review ive gotten in a long ass time. pumped!
whew! what a wild week of no electricity. Thanks Sandy for helpin me realize that electricity is pretty much everything. you also fucked us up pretty bad, you bitch. oh well just gotta rebuild and move on.
We were lucky here, but have been through that loss of electricity. Makes a person feel like a caveman. Good attitude though, Eric. Gotta move on.
glad to hear robert. hope ur keepin well
less compressed then I usually mix. hear it! http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=78960&mediaID=585617 1
ur beats are dirty!
Pensando en Ti is really cool man. Is that some open DAD tuning? Great stuff!
Hi Eric, nice to hear. The tuning I used is: D, A, D, F#, B, E. Ciao, Jacco
Jacco, I bet you would appreciate these 2 guys (you probably have already heard them). This is a youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjOQac1vOEc 1
Hi Linda, thanks for the link, great version!
Check 1,2 check check.
Checks in the mail
robert how are you? been a while, I'm still waitin for the checks to add up to axe fx 2, i think you were the one who told me about it. got a vox 4watt tube amp its really nice! I was pleasantly surprised. keep in touch!
Doing well, Eric. I think you're really on the right track. Those low watt lunchbox amps are such great recording tools. I've been thinking of going to Axe-Fx 2, but I keep making discoveries (two years later) on the original Fractal. Definitely a steep learning curve with more parameter combinations than atoms in the universe. I think you're more of a tweaker and more knowledgeable about LFOs and all the parameters that make it work to max. If you go there, I guarantee it will be interesting to see where it takes you.
So far I love how the vox sounds recorded. Axe Fx would make recording and gettin the right sound in various styles easier tho thats for sure. the vox does the nice fat tube crunch thing really well, I like just an sm7 infront of it little off center.
your gonna get blocked unj5 if your comments remain un-constructive and nonsensical.
That's 4 watt, and you are able to adjust it to less wattage, also?
no just 4 watts, I think, but there might be a way to reduce wattage even further I don't know yet though. I love the way it breaks up though, and it doesn't get loud really, I can crank it and it's comfortably loud. Not many amps out there are made so well, all tube, looks real nice, and for so cheap u kno. I'm pretty satisfied with it. Plus my studios not very big so having a small amp to leave in the closet to use on a few quick guitar overdubs is great. I have a fender deluxe reverb, and its great, sounds a little brighter and bigger id say, but with the weight and size i love them both the same. Lookin forward to putting some synths through the vox too.
Yeah, I know what you mean (being able to crank comfortably). So cool that these low watt amps have the tone down for low volume. How many guitarists have saved their pennies to buy a Soldano SLO 100 and then couldn't play it anywhere smaller than an arena? Another low cost alternative that goes direct, that I really like is SansAmp. Familiar with that? I have the SansAmpGT2, which I think is the second generation (I got it about 20 years ago). I thought of it because you mentioned sm7 a little off center. It's $189 and has settings for mic as Off Axis, Center, and Classic, with Amp of California (Mesa Boogie), British (Marshall), and Tweed (Fender). And beyond the dials "Mod" settings of Hot Wired, Hi Gain, and Clean. Since I use Fractal, I had to dig this out a couple days ago when I thought of something to use it for, and looking for setting ideas on the web, ran across the Musicians Friend reviews - 38 of them - 5 Stars. If you dial it right it sounds amazingly good (authentic) direct, and I used to use it in front of a Marshall 30w tube amp that sounded much better with it.
yes i am familiar with sansamp, we use a sansamp at the studio i work at for bass all the time. It does a great amp emulation for going direct. Really easy to use. Really great piece of gear I think the full rackmount version is used in live scenarios a lot! along with axefx. for me I really love dialing tone on an amp and some pedals tho, and I'm really happy with just a single sm7 or sm57 or e609, through good pres and converters with some compression. I've been sorta grossed out too many times by DI and digital emulations (like line6 pod) so I shy away from them but they do have a purpose, and I'm sure I'd love good ones like axeFx, just so much dang money, id rather buy a neve 1073 and just stick with my couple amps and mics, if im gonna spend that much lol.
lovin if only i could fly right now. very nice production
Thanks!!!

I have received many questions on sample libraries, sample manipulation and general orchestral production. Sorry if I cannot answer everyone Here is a great tutorial. I personally dont use Cubase, I love Protools. But all of the production models are applicable to any software structure. Take a look if you want a lesson. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=eFtja5P8OOU 1
Ben, This is absolutely a great lesson on the basics of mixing a great classical/movie score....Kutos!
