Just launched my first attempt at a YouTube video: http://youtu.be/Gx-AaFdXZXI 1
pretty impressive 1st attempt:-)
Thanks and nice to meet you!! Damn, "Tribal Bones" is pure Jazz badness. Sounds like Herbie Hancock, Weather Report, and a bit of Ornette Coleman in there. Very very hip tune.
very nice video Jeff , and I wasnt even baked ! Had to put that down years ago when I had kids.:)
Thanks for the visit Don!! Yeah I forgo that pleasure myself these days...
Well as Seinfeld would say , "not that theres anything wrong with that"
Hello Grebe just join Broadjam look forward to hearing more of your music. Keep the jazz. I am a professional jazz artist myself.
Hey Roy, Thanks for the Free Music Licensing Opportunities Weekend. That was very generous of you, and I had a blast. Even created a Classical song - lol! Always fun to play in a new playground! Blessings to you, Diana
Diana, Thanks for the nice note. Glad you enjoyed it. All the best, Roy
DITTO to Roy - THX!

Thanks for the review Roy...well, you could've been a tad more enthusiastic.... Keep this site going for those of us who miss the old garageband fiasco, and we who are actually interested in getting & giving reviews.
Grebe....Thanks for the note. I try to contain myself the next time. All the best, Roy
Diana, Peter, Adie, Thx for your feedback. Appreciated. Roy
Hello Grebe, I actually did live in Sault Ste. Marie. Wrote Hey little scrub jay for a bunch of elementary school kids who raised $300,000 to buy the lots behind their school to provide a habitat for the scrub jay...quite an accomplishment.
good stuff...keep it up...for the children
Thank you for your review of my song "Dancer's Dream." Although I think you might have had an extra lemon for breakfast, I agree with you. I wince every time I hear that song. But ladies in their 70s like it. Today, Mr Grebe, try a little sugar with your Cheerios! My very best Bruce
I know all about wincing! Kate
Thanks for reviewing "My Heart Belongs To You" but you got the bed track. If you like listen to the vocal version it will make more sense. All the best ,Felice Kaye-Cooper
Ah...I've heard of "bed tracks", I think its from tight underwear.
Just one tune...
yeah, I'm not real productive...but I am quite lovable
thanks for your review of Loosey Goosey... I actually have a better mix now as I just licensed that tune for a commercial. Jeff
Thanks for taking the time to review "The Test".
I listened to Tribal Bones - this is not the kind of any jazz, and there are many styles, I have ever heard. You should only review your style of music & be nicer to other writers & their styles when you do reviews.. Just let the writer know your're a Jazz Fusion Writer.
did I ASK you to listen to Tribal Bones? Listen to your own genre and try to be nicer next time....smiley face
Thanks for taking the time reviewing Donna Lee. Unfortunately you apparently don't know be-bop very well. This was a jazz standard by Charlie Parker and has been re recorded by many other artists including Jaco Pastorius. The melody is fast but fun to have under your fingers. Go check out the sheet music (its in "The Real Book" along with Charlie Parkers "Omnibook"). It took me months to learn the melody and be able to play it fast. Learn it, you'll be glad you did.
Charlie Parker? I bought a truck from him a few years ago. Apparently you don't know used car salesmen.
LOL!!
I thought Broadjam was a format to help artists get better, not judge their style or originality. It would be helpful to get some constructive comments, and not all negative. I listen for the good in people's work and try to help encourage them to be better writers and musicians. That's really why we are all here. BTW I DO write my own stuff, just not everything, but it is all my own original arrangements...
Would love to hear why you say my track "Joker Vs Jester" is a bad recording and why it is the same at 1:08 and 1:09.
and I'd love to tell you why I said that, but that would mean I'd have to listen again, and I won't so...
funny too...figures
Observation...Amish people shop at Aldi...a lot
Grebe Thanks for your review of 'If I Could See' (eeeee!!). Much appreciated. All the best from the rain in England. Matt
Thanks for the review! I appreciate your honest opinion. But please don't think that I rate myself as a singer! I am a bedroom musician when it comes to my own stuff and have little knowledge or experience of mixing and recording. Not everyone on here thinks he's Quincy Jones! My song is what it is - just an idea.............if you read my bio you'll see that my ideal is to have other people who have real talent record my stuff.
hmmmmmm reaching the point where Broadjam just seems utterly inane. I miss GarageBand.
With you re: missing garageband Jeff. PS - tweeted out N. Lights & Rad Mtn - good stuff my friend. - Grebe
Hey Tribal Bones is cool!! I just reviewed it. There's a lot to like there and room to grow still.
Just had a chance to review Tribal Bones. Interesting indeed! Looking to hear more from this artist
I APPRECIATE YOUR REVIEW FOR MY SONG. YOUR THOUGHTS HELPS ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CUSTOMERS LIKE AND DON'T.
Hi Grebe Thank you for reveiwing Candles Of Hope The song was actually written for Cancer Research's Relay For Life events( I don't know if you have heard of them) and is used at the Luminaria ceremony in USA Australia and the UK where I come from and is sung when it is dark and candes light up the running track. I have sung it live on several occasions I have found reviewing an anonymous song is difficult but hanks again
Hello Grebe - Thanks for taking the time to review the Potty Training Song (long version). there is a shorter version that leaves out the "terms, etc." which is the cleaner one that will be on my new CD, NanaTunes. Wishing you the best. Keep warm and clear of tornadoes! Mrs. Kate
