*I meant I absolutely apologize for how random this is*
I wrote the song take myself to Texas and own it all. This instrumental is mine too. It features me & my band member buddy David Leonard.
Hi Barry. I accepted your friend request. I just read about you and your background seems similar to mine. I drummed for a living for about 45 years. One of several bands I was in was Dennis Yost & the Classics IV. I was their drummer and also the drummer for Vern Gosdin. If you'd like to hear some of my other bands email me and I'd share them with you from YouTube. And you could share your bands with me and I'd check them out. Yeah, I'm oddly enough a drummer singer songwriter. I always created the guitar chords and melodies and in two of them I the drummer created the guitar theme. I'd like to share those with you.
Sure JIM, The two bands I played in were the Salty Iguanas and Palomar, both from Lawrence Ks. we made it down to the southeast a few times. Do you know a band called the Other People, they were a real staple in the 90's down in your parts. we toured down there with them twice. Salty Iguanas have one song on You Tube, done after the fact just as remembrance, and the band Palomar, was the follow up act to PAW, and I played lead guitar for them but Grant won't release any of that music, he's an odd fella, I have some copies though, I can send you some mp3's what's you regular e-mail address?
I don't know a band called the other people but if they are in YouTube I'll listen to them. I don't mind checking out your musical history and I wouldn't mind you checking out mine too. I'll listen to the Salty Iguanas on YouTube and see if Palomar is there too.
Hi Barry. I just went to YouTube and saw &heard your Salty Iguanas live video. It was real good and reminded me of a Joe Bonamassa video that he sent me. The guitar playing was similar to Joe and the drumming was similar to Joe's drummer in his video. It impressed me. Tell your drummer that a guy who made a living drumming for 45 years said that your drummer is a good drummer who reminded me of Joe Bonamassa's drummer
Here is a video I made of my band Tristan that I created. You'll hear me drumming and my Buddy Rick Dovi singing the lead. When you hear him you'll understand why I hired him. And all the other musicians were singing the harmony. This isn't a live video but it's a live studio recording and I had to create the video for it because no live video was made. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ssMY3 _gB-hs. I want you to know that I, the drummer am the guy who created the guitar theme you'll hear and wrote half of the rest of the song. When you hear Dovi singing you'll understand why I hired him to to be my lead singer. I also want you to know that the bass player & the keyboardist are the harmony singers with me.
I want you to know that this song is called I Feel like I'll Never Feel this way again. Recorded by Tristan Atlanta.
If you search for Feel Like I'll Never Feel you'll see two choices. One version by European Superstar Demis Roussos, and another version listed as popschase. And that'll be the Tristan version.
I guess you realize that my music video is in YouTube like yours is. Demis Roussos did a great recording of my song but I want you to hear the Tristan version but the Demis Roussos version is good too. My band isn't on his version though.
Yea, that link didn't work for some reason, I found the Demis version, and they gave you credit in the liners for writing the song. But I couldn't find the Trustan version. Nice song, wish you could have gotten a bigger star to record it.
To find the Tristan version do a YouTube search for Popschase and it's the first song listed in that account. As Feel Like I'll Never Feel.
I want you to know that Demis Roussos was the biggest star in the world. He sold about 60 million recordings in his life and a lot of them were my song.
He performed my song all over Europe and see if this will take you to a video of his live performance of it. http://my.mail.ru/mail/olegsibn/video/15179/24425.html 1
To see the lyrics look at this web site https://genius.com/Demis-roussos-fe el-like-i'll-never-feel-this-way-ag ain-lyrics
Hah! I love having a web site with that name posting my lyrics that I wrote half of.
Trying to hear Lean and mean but it isn't available after I tapped on it.

Hi Papo. I just tapped on the address above and it worked fine. I liked your song and performance. I want to share one of my 63 songs with you. Ths Is me and my band Tristan singing it. I credited Dovi as a cowriter because he sang with me while I wrote it at his house. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7D-sG zhVtSw
Cool
Hey, Bill. Do you remember country singer Vern Gosdin, known as the voice? He and I were real close friends and I played drums with him. We were music buddies and fishing buddies. His brother Rex was a friend too.
Yes, I was a great admirer of Verne Gosdin. Had a "voice" like no other. What I wouldn't have given just to sit in and play with him. My memory isn't as good as it used to be, and I can't remember my favorite song of his right now, but I'll look it up. Thanks so much for contacting me. Let's me and you try our best to stay in touch. Your friend, Bill King
Hey Jim, I'd appreciate it if you'd give my song, "Funny Thing About Love" a listen: http://www.broadjam.com/songs/billking1/funny-thing-about-love 1
Hey Jim, have you ever been on https://www.musicxray.com? I currently have my song "Funny Thing About Love" submitted to Caprice International Records, owner/producer Joey Welz. Mr. Welz was an original member of Bill Haley and the Comets. I'm awaiting his response now to see if he can place my song. The also offer song reviews by musical industry professionals (MIPs) (as does Broadjam). So far, "Funny Thing About Love" has been reviewed by 2 MIPs; received an 88. You might want to look into it as another avenue for your music.
I saw no publisher credit for "the Truth might set you free" but I actually own the publishing through BMI. My company is called Reeds Bridge Music.
Thanks for your endorsement Cortez. I wish us both luck with our songs.
Jim Chase here. Thank you very much!
