I checked out 'move along with it all'....very good! a simple recoding with a simple message....I like the line. 'livin' with more hurt than livin' should allow'....if hank was healthy and could do it, I'm sure you two would sound great together jamming.....I recently uploaded a new song clled 'looking up at you' take a listen you may like it....stu
Hey there, Larry, I can spot your reviews a mile away. Thanks again for your encouragement. I only wish I could serve you up a piece of my homemade bread with butter on it....straight from the oven. I made some with a new friend who wanted to learn to bake bread last week. It was fun teaching this skill to an eager learner. Well, have a good day. I only have one gig this week, but things will crank up later on in the month when I leave on my NC tour. Have a great day, friend! Mrs. Kate
Larry I just got your review of my very Scottish lullaby so to say it's celtic yes, very much so. Thank you for really understand what I do and liking my work. That song was one of lullabies for my grand daughters. When they were little they went to sleep each nite for years hearing there grandmother sing to them. What better way to get your voice out into the universe. If you get a chance look on my page and you will see a list and there you will see words that may not have been understood because they were words in old Scots. I have a great producer who makes my job of singing easy. Thank you again for your kind words, and the best in your work.
Thank you so much for the review, marks and comments on "From Me To You." I appreciate the critique and comments. ~Brenda Craven~
Thanks for the review on my song. Good suggestions, and I appreciate your time and interest.
Kate, thanks so much for such a thoughtful review. I think you make some great points. And I totally agree on the chorus. Needs to stand-out more....Thanks for the time and kind words.
You are welcome, Larry. Keep up the songwriting! Mrs. Kate in FL
Hi kate Thanks you so much for your kind words when reviewing my tune Primitus ...it is much appreciated. Jeff
Hi Jason thanks for the review of "Helene." I listened to your "Build" (cool bridge) and "Spitfire" which are both good and very different; I liked both. You should get flight footage and put Spitfire to it. Jeff
Jason, thanks for your review of my song "Move Along With It All. I appreciate the good advice too. I think I'll do it. And, "porch music" is pretty much what I do. Thank you.
Thank you for your very nice review of my song, "Move Along With It All." Your suggestions are valid and I think they will benefit the song. Thank you.
Larry, thanks so much for your wonderful review of our tune, MAN IN TROUBLE. This is actually about a buddy who was quckly slipping into a problem with alchohol. We were watching him get out of control one evening and a friend said, He's a man in trouble. I agreed and said there's a song in here somewhere. Interesting the way these tunes get birthed. All our best. Bobby and Leslie Sahlen
Hi Larry, I wanted to thank you for your recent review of our song "Because You First Loved Me." That was really encouraging, so thank you and... I don't think you give yourself enough credit as a songwriter. I really love this song "Move Along With It All." The chorus is particularly catchy and the verses are really unique and it's a nice song that everyone can relate to.
Larry, your reviews are so much fun to read. Wow, carol Burnett comparisons....I am honored...I think, ha ha. Had two gigs in Jacksonville today, whupped. bye for now...Mrs Kate
LOL....I had a feeling it was one of your songs I just reviewed...lol......Good stuff.
Great song Larry - "Move Along With it All" Love your bio too! Blessings, Diana
thanxs for the great review of my song/I WANT YOUR LOVIN TONIGHT/--it is one of my personal favorites of all the songs i have written!--cheers--joe.
Hi Larry, just wanted to say thank your for your insightful review of "Man from Galilee". Jason Wyatt on vocals and guitar ... he does an amazing demo. Thanks for the review ... janet / songbird
Larry I want to thank you for all your kind words for my music. Both for 500 miles and Scarborough Faire....They for me are a time when this was the music I listened to in its hay day. I am just a singer and with my producer put together ideas that hopefully give a different twist to these old songs...I have a few ideas for some originals but that is going to be awhile down the road....because I am just a singer.....FOR NOW...so thank you again for all your kind words and welcome to BJ
Kind of stumbled onto your page. "See Him See It" is a sweet tune. I just joined this place, but you inspire me to get some more of my songs on here....I think we write our songs from a similar place. Good stuff, my friend. I'll be back. Hope I get the chance to review you songs. They're sweet tunes.
Hi T Jae thanks for your glowing review of "Make it Alright" !!!
Thanks for your nice review of my song "Move Along With It All." I sincerely appreciate your comments and time. I wish you the very best.
Thanks for the kindest reviews and marks on "River Of Pain" . I also liked that you actually listened and got the message I convey there. In a metaphorical sense. Appreciate it!
Hello again, Larry, glad you liked Takin' enough time. I'd like to take credit for the guitar playing, but it was my producer, Jamie DeFrates. He plays far better than I do, so I delegate the guitar playing on all my cd's to him. I just wanted to say I really appreciate your reviews. You take enough time to share your thoughts in a paragraph. I do the same thing in my reviews. Swamped, just got home from a weeklong tour, but I WILL listen to your song someday! Mrs Kate
Just reviewed your song "Marianne." It totally blew me away. WOW, and I mean it.
Hey Larry, thanks for your review! I wrote the opening melody as a theme that would convey what "could have been", while expressing sadness and regret with the lyrics. Thanks again for your positive feedback! Greg
LOL...just got another one of your songs to review. Taking Time Enough if I remember....Loved it. That sweet tune belongs back in the 1960's when folk music was "folk music." Enjoyed it, my friend.
Hi Larry, "Move Along With It All" has a nice, gentle flow to it which is augmented by your voice. It's a simple tune with simple lyrics but sometimes that's what good songs are made of (Hank Williams for example). Loved the harmonica and picking.
Thank you, my friend. I appreciate your comments. I sincerely do.
I really like Cowboy's Lullabye. Cool little tune. I found you by Borderline, which I reviewed. Wish I could review this one. Fun song......Keep writing.
Hey Larry, you got me again. Glad you liked Porch Swing. I am on tour right now and YES I sing it a lot, especially at my shows for senior citizens. As you may well imagine, there is a story that goes along with the song. Wish I had the time to tell you about the Porch Swing Lady. Tonight I played at the Collier County Library down in Naples, FL. Nice gig! God bless you and hope we meet on BJ again. Mrs. Kate
Hi Larry...thanks for your extremely positive review of "Borderline". I'm very lucky as was able to gather some ace musicians to do this...the guitar player, Les Cornell, is classically trained but able to put his ear and soul to anything. I might shop it to some NPR stations but I've been so busy I haven't had time to concentrate on this project. Hoping to hear you soon!!!!
Hello Larry, Glad you liked Honeysuckle. It's one of my favorite mellow songs. God bless you and I hope I get to review you sometime soon. Welcome to BJ! Mrs Kate
I need to finish my thought, hit the wrong button and my thoughts got sent. The song was a sailors hymn I sang in church years ago when I was young and that is why the bells and waves. This song with a few of my newer songs up was from my very first cd sung for my Grand daughters who have gone to bed nightly listening to Grammy sing. If you get a chance listen to my sinnerman you may like it. Well again thanks for your review and I listened to your song and expect you to have more up soon..yes? Best regards...Delta
