Thanks FOR the review of RHG-yes live drums-had to play them out of my head-then do the other inst-vocs-cant do much more with it-since my boss br-110 erased all my songs one day-argh- i wept-lol
Technology is fab but if there's anything which will make me spontaneously combust it's electronic wizardry. If it's any consolation I've just downloaded 'Make up your mind' for my mp3 player. Keep rockin. Wayne (part of Groomhill)
thanx bro-its highly appreciated-im officially a pro now-- LOL
Beatles /Genesis-(early) i know its easy listening--but i cant help seeing a power ending with poppin percussion and back vocals on chorus-either harmony or unison chorus-if it wouldn't work-im wrong--THENKS FOR REVIEW OF MAKE UP YOUR MIND-i wish we were in the same country
Hi Monk. Big body of work you've got posted. Started to make my way through it. You have some nice guitar hooks and a delivery/rhythm of words which makes for some very interesting songs. Good luck with them. Wayne (part of Groomhill)
Thanks- i think country heart and High-are my best chances-as far as commercial success-need a real studio..lol
mama? and you were bored with dear? also try auto tune
meh..fire your singer--drop all the 90s influence
lol..
Hi Monk --thanks for your review. It's funny how you can still meet someone new even when you've both been on the site a while. I'm digging your funky, quirky tunes. Pope Hope and Sky Reveals both remind me so much of early 80's Bowie--sure that's no surprise. ~Jeff
Thanks!
I enjoyed listening to your song "High" Monk, and hope it gets where you want it. Cheers mate :D
THANKS!
Hi Monk.... This is Danny Stultz, Singer/Songwriter and Lead Vocalist from, "Banders Row". I just had the pleasure of listening to your songs, "High", and "Sometimes". I can honestly say both songs were simply amazing and I gave both 5 stars. You are an incredible vocalist and the harmonies were spot on. My wife and I set in our office with your music blasting and we just love it. You my friend are very talented and a joy to listen to. Great lyrics and instrumentation. Keep them coming!!!
Ok Thanks man--im trying

Hey Monk: Thanks for the review of "The Other Side". It's appreciated. By the way, I just listened to "Soon So Real". What a great song. Your vocal is really unique and has alot of subtlies in it. In fact, I have to say it's one of the better performances I've heard on this site. I'm not sure another artist (read your bio) would do this song justice. Greg
It's not in your head-it's a good song, alot of energy and it has a improvisional feel to it. I would change the way the lead guitar comes in at 00:41. Rythmically, it seemed distracting. I know you were doing a triplet as you came in. Maybe the tempo of it was a little slow (not sure). Also, the harmony on the chours seemed a little bit off. Maybe thats the way you wanted it but to my ear, it stuck out. Hope you don't mind me being honest. What are you using to process your vocal? Sounds like a lexicon-it sounds good!
ha thanks--yea that lead at 41 was to cover a mistake-rhythmically--i bounced so many times-when i discovered it -tried to cover..thats what i asked others-and yep you caught it-it doesnt work thanks..as far as vocals-ive always thought rock was emotion not perfection..so im happy with those--not a fan of the voices and idols and..ect rather hear Plant crack several times tring to reach a note..THANKS !!
You got a point there.
Hello Monk. Firstly, thanks for your comments mate regarding your review of my song. Secondly, I don't know how to send the song through to you. If you tell me how to do this, I'd be happy to oblige mate. Cheers.
I'd be happy to give you a critique if you like, if you think my input would help. Is there a way to pm on here? If so, get in contact with me. I enjoyed your song Monk, and left a brief comment just after it.
Hi Monk thanks for your thoughtful review of "What You Do" ! I'm listening to Soon So Real and hear hints of John Lennon, Bowie, George Harrison, and Archer Prewitt, and more recent artist. Great 70's touches; I really like this. I'm a similar studio rat playing everything (although I do gig out in a band). Jeff Roberts
Archer Prewitt, a more recent artist, that is.
Thanks man
Jeff, could you give me a heads up on the best way for me to get songs heard by public and also BJam community? What is the best tool youve used for publicity? THANKS MONK
