i really like your songs: 'thick as thieves' and especially 'DNA'. i think they are good enough to try with your band 'Carousel. very nice!
Thanks Michael. I really appreciate the feedback!
thanks for the nice review of 'tucson-day'. i am glad that you enjoyed it. the song was inspired by that terrible shooting tragedy in Tucson,Az.
I really enjoyed the approach on the guitar on your song.
Thanks for the nice review of 'it should be known". i have not listened to this song in a long time. the drums are a preset drum machine plugged into a fender tube amp then miked. you are right this song could use strings or keyboard parts. after listening to it seems a little bit sparse....... want to add some keyboard tracks to it as you are a keyboard player?
That'd be cool, but how would we do that over the internet?
Thanks for the nice review of my song "leaves starting to fall". yes, do you know a good female singer for my song?
Hi Michael, I have to tell you, there are plenty of them on here. I have one with a great Celtic accent waiting for me to finish one for her, plus I have a local girl that did one for me. If you send me the wav files for your song, I would be happy to come up with some lyrics, and let her have a go at it. I'm not that fast but I think it would be a great colaboration. Let me know if you would like to try this. By the way, a male vocalist would work well too : )
yes Mark that would be great! i can send you the .wav file. let me how and where to send it.
Send it to grueser2@hotmail.com Michael...I'll be glad to work on it
Thanks for the song review. you need to listen to the .wav file on a nice system to get the full impact of the song 'house-jazz-1'. all instruments expect drums(drum machine) were recorded 'miking my tube fender amp - no midi. if there is 'hiss at the end then it is the hiss of the Tubes! listened to some of your music and i like a lot of your songs such as 'celestial rockets', 'journey back' and 'sacrifice' - very nice!!
Thanks for the nice complement Michael. Best of luck with your music. Dave
Thanks for the Song review of Bass-riffs. It was a tricky song to mix properly. the Bass player is myself but I am more of a guitar player. i put the song up because it has something interesting about it, not great but worth a listen.
Paul, thanks the nice review of my tune house-jazz-1. glad you enjoyed the music because that is what it all about. i find it hard to 'slot my music into the correct broadjam category. again thanks the nice review.
Thank you for your recent review of Comet. Best wishes, Greg
Michael - thank you for taking the time to support the BJam review mechanism. BTW: that is not a clarinet you heard. that is a soprano sax. as always, PGO
thanks for the enjoying the song! it is always nice when someone likes the music!!
thanks for the song review and glad that you enjoyed listening to it!
thanks for review my song and enjoying it. you have some interesting stuff yourself!
Of course Michael! No problem. Thanks and take care - J
thanks for reviewing my song and enjoying it. it is tough when doing the whole song yourself to get the proper perspective of you own material.
thanks for the review of my song. I am playing the bass through a fender tube guitar amp rather then a bass amp which would give the song a more realistic bass sound.
Just my ears saying, "I want to hear more bass", that's all. LOVE tube amps!!!
chet, just reviewed your song. you really do nice stuff!!
Thanks Michael, The song you reviewed is entitled, "Beijing Dawn" and it comes from my third instrumental CD, "Peak To Peak". I have many other CDs....that I have produced, including numerous singer-song-writer CDs. Currently my song, "Key To My Heart" is #1 on the Broadjam Blugrass charts. I also have 5 songs in the Top Ten in the Illinois Top Ten at Broadjam. Stop by and give them a listen. My work goes back to 1969. Best Chet

thanks for the song review. glad that you like it. my lead playing needs work so i have to pick my spots when to play it. thanks again for the review!
You are welcome, Michael! Have a great day! God bless you and keep on making good music. Mrs. Kate www.MrsKate.com
HI Michael, thanks for the great review of my song "Make me feel". I appreciated it.
Such a dreamy music "Tucson Day" loved it! Very soothing, melancolic and quite calming! Very good recording so no worries there right!?:) All the best!:)
Thank you soo much Micheal for that honest review & positive opinion & review you gave of "Mais Lui"! Best of luck with your upcoming recordings! Cheers!
thanks for the positive review! it is nice when someone else enjoys the music. the wind noise came from real wind as the door was open and wind noise got into the mic but i kind of liked it so i left it in. you might enjoy my song tucson-day. thanks again for the review
You are most welcome - ah a nice breath of fresh Arizona air! Mrs. Kate in FL
Michael, Thanks for the kind words on my song "Somewhere Down the Track". It's not a B3 but close. It is a digital version of my buddy Jerrys I think a Hammond XK-3. Sounds pretty authentic though doesn't it? The lyrics were actually written by a guy who lives in the UK named John McDonough. I did the rest. I listened to your stuff too. Very nice guitar work. Keep it up. Thanks again. Mike
Hi Michael, Thanks for the review of my song, "Taxi To Tonganoxie". This recording is over 35 years old and it still has steam in its engine. We recorded it at producer/engineer Stephen Barncard's canyon estate in LA. It consisted of 3 seperate buildings built into a hillside. Quite the spot.....especially if a quake were to hit. Here are the liner notes: "Taxi To Tonganoxie", is the only CD of Chet Nichols' music that features full back-up bands in the studio. The material on this CD was recorded, engineered and co-produced by Stephen Barncard in two different studios back in the early and mid 1970's. The songs, "Paper Burns" and "You Were They And They Were You" were recorded at Wally Heider's studio in San Francisco. The other tunes were recorded at Stephen Barncard's home in the hills above Beverly Glen in Los Angeles. The back-up band at the Beverly Glen location consisted of a fabulous group of artists: Laura Allan - vocals, Fuzzy Oxendine - drums (Sons, Grape, Jerry Miller Band, etc), Wayne Goodwyn on Fiddle, lap steel (Emmylou), Ricky Wallace, Estrella Berosini - vocals and Billy Berosini - bass (Jackson Browne, Brewer & Shipley). Chet played acoustic guitar, dulcimer, piano, electric guitar and piano. Even Stephen got in on the act and made an appearance playing bass! The Heider sessions consisted of Buddy Cage - pedal steel guitar (New RIders of The Purple Sage), Pete Sears - bass (New Riders Of The Purple Sage, Jefferson Starship) and Spenser Dryden - drums (The Airplane, The New RIders Of The Purple Sage). Even though this collection of tunes is over 30 years old, people are still discovering it, enjoying it and sharing it. Keep on strumming.... Best, Chet Nichols
yes, i figured it was professionally done. you did a transfer from the analog tape to the digital domain. you had some great players backing you up. Nice!
thanks for reviewing my song. yes, this song need a REAL drummer. the drum machine that i used makes this song less interesting then it could be. it was the idea of the Vibe that i was interested in as i knew additional instrumentation, real drums and possibly a singer would add much to the song. again thanks for review comments
Thanks for the review of my song "Some Good Thins Never Last". Take a look at this: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xe coaa_some-good-things-never-last_mu sic
thanks for reviewing my song. the drums are not good as i don't have a real drummer so the drum machine is quite boring! michael
Michael. Just reviewed "it-should-be-known-key" and mistakenly hit the submit button after I wrote in comments but before I should have put in rating scores. So very sorry for that! I should have been paying better attention to what I was doing. Great vibe to that song (for what it's worth - beyond my rating mistake).
no problem robert. glad that you enjoyed the music. i played all the instruments myself. i really could use a REAl drummer rather then drum machine !!
Hi Michael. I just reviewed your song with genuine numbers this time. Re: the drum issue. After reading my review, if you'd like to discuss this, email me at falconti@together.net (looks like Broadjam did away with the email option on the page).
