Thank you for your review of my song, Reflections! Yes, there was a piece of equipment that had hiss that could be heard in the beginning... a shame. The harmonica that you heard was actually a melodica. The entire song was done adding a track at a time (you can "see" the final result on my Youtube channel (PianoManChuck) under the same song name "Reflections" to see how it was actually done). Hi Debra... I found you because one of your songs (This Is Our Time) is marked as "in consideration" for one of the same opportunities that mine is "under consideration" for. So I played your song, and WOW! You are really a gifted songwriter... not to mention that you can also sing very, very beautifully too! We're both in the Los Angeles area. Do you ever collaborate with other musicians in the area? If yes, maybe we could put our heads together? I'm very good at writing instrumentals (piano since age 5) but can't sing worth anything :( Currently working on another original, this time with vocals, but with my singing... no chance.

Sir, thank you for reviewing my song 'I don't love you anymore' a while back. I appreciate your feedback regarding the recording quality and mix which are entirely true. I'm still learning lots about the complexities of sound and how to best mix the various tracks so it doesn't turn into slop, which is unfortunately happening with my novice approach. Take care.

Thanks for your positive comment! I never felt that personal taste should deter from reviewing... in fact, it ads to it! Music elements are there in every genre... uniqueness, mix quality, etc. While not my personal taste, your music is very well done. I think I reveiwed 3 of your songs ;)

Chuck, thanks for your review of our tune, LET THE BLUES BEGIN. Sorry you don't appreciate wall of sound. We did this purposely because it was what we were after. Guess it's not everyone's cup of tea. Good news is, the song has made a number of top ten lists, including blues/country and Mexico. It's out and gone...released as a single to CD Baby so I hope you are in the minority. Thanks for the other nice things you had to say about it.
I actually DID like the song a lot! Gave it high marks... its the mix quality that I was complaining about... especially after hearing your superior mix in "Satisfied Mind". But a good song is a good song, so I'm happy for you market-wise!
