Thank you for the review. That's not me on the song...I only wrote it. From Army veteran to veteran (I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom) I think you'd also enjoy Ra the Rugged Man's song called Vietnam Story.

Thank you for the review of my song. I agree with your auto-tune comment but that's what the artist wanted. I really like the genre of music you have on your page and I'd be interested in writing that style of music if you're ever looking for a songwriter. The songs I have posted on my page here are about 2 years old...literally the first songs I've ever written. Lol. I currently write at a studio called Brandon's Way here in Hollywood. But I don't post those songs on this site because I just use this site to find new music. Again, thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review. I liked your song El Loco Joey. We should meet up sometime. I'm interested in writing songs for other genres.

Hey E.I. Just realized you reviewed my song No Escape. Thought you reviewed Feel Good. For No Escape I only did the female background vocals.

Yep, that was me. Do you produce the music as well? I'm looking for a female singer songwriter as we speak. Let's see where this takes us. Let's stay connected.

Oh by the way, in a previous note to you I wanted to know if you have your own set up if we work together on a project in the future. It'll make things flow a lot easier work wise.

I have a studio at home for pre-production. And I also have friends with all the bells and whistles for the actual recording. I don't produce yet, but my mentors are teaching me everyday how to get better at producing, writing, etc. and they've individually sold hundreds of millions of records world-wide. When we finish a track and it's banging, we'll have no problems getting heard and placed with "the right people".

On the previous comment, I'm still very new at creating music but I'm working towards getting better everyday. I haven't created music that completely blows people away, only ones that are good enough to get placements on tv shows. But we all start somewhere.

The fact that you are getting placements in TV show is awesome! That means you got the gift already. Nice to have that inside connect that'll listen to your tracks and stuff. I'm glad you have a pre-production studio at the crib too so we can probably do some things musically, great! What are you using as your DAW? PT, Cubase, Nuendo, what? I use PT and Record but mostly Record intergrated with Reason. What are your strongest type of songs you love to write to?

I have logic 9, pro-tools, and learning production on ableton. I like writing to songs with a soul, not shake your ass type of music...although my song Pass Out is one of those mindless songs for partying. But that's only cuz the artist wanted that type of song. I don't prefer it, but I could do it.

Cool. Any one of those DAWs should work out fine. All I would have to do is send a stereo track .wav and you could import it into a track and do vocals and send the file back. From there I'd import the vocals into my DAW and it's a done deal! Mix and Master...done! Hopefully a track will arise that we can collab on. I'll keep you posted.

Thank you for reviewing my song. I felt the same way about the engineering. Last night was my first time poking around on this site. Have you or anyone you know personally had any placements through the licensing opportunities? Also, where can I hear your music?

Hey Pete. Thank you for listening to my songs. I just started poking around on this site for the first time last night. Have you or anyone you know personally had any placements through the licensing opportunities?

P.S. I had no idea the people I review would know the names of the people that reviewed them.

Dear Rose Jay,
Thanks for your review of my song "Run Away With Me Now". I will try the Folk genra. I'm always openminded and looking for useful nuggets of knowledge & wisdom from fellow musical creators. PS.I listened to all 3 of your songs. Well Done! I would like to hear your voice in one of them.
Respectfully
Pete

I'm not a singer...I prefer being in the background. But thank you for listening. Although I signed up with Broadjam awhile ago, I just started poking around yesterday. Have you had any success with the licensing opportunities or know anyone personally who has?

Hi Rose Jay,
My brother John Hansen and I won a Calming song of the month contest "Melias Christmas" just recently so that confirms that Broadjam is legitimate, not that I was worried about it. We haven't submitted very many songs to licensing opportunities as we are just getting started with broadjam ourselves, and we don't really associate with other musicians other than our own small circle of friends. So we don't know anyone personally who has had licensing success, but there are several movie production companies that claim they have used material from over 500 independant artists from Broadjam. As we move forward we are pursuing other avenues for promoting our music as well. Broadjam is an excellent base to build from, and is proving to be more productive and cost effective than sending music to certain music publishers. Good luck!
Respectfully
Pete

Thanks Pete. And the song you reviewed was actually me singing on it. I'm using Broadjam to do my reference vocals and get feedback before I hire a professional singer.
