Hi Sam! Glad to see you are back at it! Didn't you have a vocal issue with Covid but got through it ok? Pat
Thanks, but no Covid issues. I've just kind of "retired" and slowed down, even though I still write and record. Peace, Sam
Thanks Sam for your sweet comments and great review of my song "The Fairy Tale Song"! Love your lyrics and you are an inspiration to Country Music! hugs and all the best music, DeDe :) dedewedekind.com
Thank you, DeDe! Peace, Sam
Bubba Donovan is a force of nature. This is definitely a 'James Brown Groove'. Thank you.
Thank you so much! He is, indeed.
Sam, just heard your tune,"Red Shoe Attitude" has a Chicago the Band feel!! Good singer, 5 stars & Likes!! Stay Safe Friend.............. The Corey's...........
Thank you so much! No sure anyone would appreciate the song, being a little cryptic about someone in a wheelchair.
Sam, what do you mean with your statement, cryptic about someone in a wheelchair?? Not sure what you are saying?? truly interested!! Help me fill in the blanks! Art Corey......
Written from the point of view of Susan Bowman, who had been in a vehicular accident that rendered three of her four limbs amputated and/or unusable. She went through hell, actually being left by her husband and kids at first, not wanting to go on living. One of her nurses helped her regain her love for life. She went on to travel the world and even to try skydiving, living relatively independently. While it's only a slice of what she started attaining, she continues to this day. That nurse, Sheron Wilee-Ford, is a co-writer (along with her cousin, Connie and yours truly) and the singer of this recording. They are dear friends and Sheron went on to produce a movie about Susan and helped her to write a recently released book (also titled Red Shoe Attitude).
Sam, do I ever feel like a Double Loser!! Susan Bowman is a real Giant of individuals and sounds like she will never be stopped!! Also, the nurse Sheron Wilee-Ford, is a truly wonderful individual also!! My mother, Bless her soul was a Nurse and my wonderful wife Margie was a Nurse in her youth!! Nurses are very special people......almost God Like!! What is the Title of your song again, so I can return to your composition with those thoughts of everyone in mind? Stay Safe............... Art Corey...........
RED SHOE ATTITUDE. Susan only had one leg left, but she had a special red stiletto that she liked to wear on that foot when they went out to eat or see live music--hence, that's where we developed the title.
Sam, great theme and idea, Hat's off to your creativity Sir!! And everyone else's input also!! I will return to "RED SHOE ATTITUDE" and listen with enriched knowledge.... Stay Safe........ Art Corey...........
Thanks Amigo!
Sam, Love your song, "YOU LOOK LIKE I NEED A DRINK" Great Title!! Great Song, 5 Stars & Likes!! Bravo Sir!! Stay Safe!!! The Corey's!!
Thanks. It's an older tune that I realized I had never posted. Wasn't sure anyone would even appreciate it, LOL!
Sam, again....Great Title,"YOU LOOK LIKE I NEED A DRINK" Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! The Corey's............
Fun facts about the title....Justin Moore had a country hit with that title, but it was a few years after this one was written and recorded. Credit where credit's due--my co-writer, Rock Marcello, was the one who brought that title to our writing session. Turns out (as I found out later on), another Nashville songwriter/friend, Mac Elliot, had also written a song with that title a few years before we did ours, but his was a serious tune that neither of us was aware of until after we had written our version. Gary Hannan, another hit writer/friend, wanted to modify our version for one-third share that he would pitch, but it never came to fruition. Gary is best known for co-writing TEQUILA MAKES HER CLOTHES FALL OFF and BACK WHEN I KNEW IT ALL....both went to #1.
Sam, thanks for the Back story, pretty interesting!! Stay Safe........ Art Corey.......
Hey Sam..........."Drunk Again" Killer Boogie-Woogie tune, 5 Stars & Likes! This is the Real Deal Movin' SONG!! The Corey's............
Thanks so much! It's an oldie from my band in the 80's. We use to have a great time! Believe it or not, that was done in just one or two takes. Wish I could say I wrote it, but it was my partner and our roadie, LOL!
Thanks for the awesome 5 out of 5 on my The Fairy Tale Song Sam! All the best! DeDe :)
:) Keep makin' great music. If ever you're looking for outside original material, please let me know. You have a wonderful voice.
Hey Fred! Thanks for the great review of my song LIVIN IN A DREAM. It's one of my favorite live performance songs...we get to stretch it out and it's undergone more than a few changes since the recorded version. Let's connect. If you're ever looking for someone to help you out on vocals...
Fred, thanks for the strong reviews you've been giving to my music. I'm humbled because you have so much outstanding music, yourself...tasteful and memorable. I also love that there are so many contrasts in stylles to keep my interest. You've got mad skills, bro! You mentioned my lyric sheets having songwriting credits, thus ruining my anonymity. I include them because there are often different singers, some of which had nothing to do with the songwriting. Also, if other people might decide to cover and/or post songs that include my contributions, I'd like to make the credits known. At this juncture, I'm not focused on a career in the industry anymore, but I love to make the music for music's sake. I don't have any specific other agenda, LOL! You and your music, on the other hand, sound like you have a bright future! Best of luck on much success! I've enjoyed all the songs I've had time to listen to, so far!
I just reviewed one of your songs, then went on to check your channel out. I love you, man. Some great songs.... "Big Tips", awesome original! "100 Tears..." totally cool. You do some great work
Thank you for checking it out. This is quite rewarding for me as someone who has fallen through the cracks for decades, LOL! You're very kind!
Sam, my friend, I was hoping you didn't take my comment as hokey, empty flattering BS. Your music and poetry are really good, I instantly liked everything I listened to. A natural talent with easily chartable songs in my opinion. The majority of us have also fallen through the cracks over the years, however, you shouldn't be included in that group!
It feels good, at 68, to be a survivor so THANK YOU, bro! You have no idea how rewarding it is for me to have a shared appreciation for music on this level. Here's to you having success with your music. I'm no big deal in the business, but if I can do anything, let me know.
Sam!!thanks for taking the time to ("peruse" "singing the "blues")...Your evaluation is quite, well spot on!! Your right, this 90's demo should be redone professionally. ..Thanks again, very much appreciated!! Ron

Sam, I thought it was a New 2020 BMW?? Say What?? Haaaaaaa!! Art Corey..............
Hey Sam and thanks for the review of my instrumental a while back called Monsoon. I appreciate your critique!
Sam glad you liked wrinkles. Mrs Kate
Replying to your question about Holidays In New England in your review....My friend, Ray Dahrouge wrote and sang the song. I did all the tracking in my home studio using Cubase. That recording is from 2006. We did an entire holiday album, which is at my site...IT'S CHRISTMAS EVERYWHERE. Thanks for the wonderful review and rating. Peace, Sam
Sam You are one talented Human Being! Catnip
How generous of you! I'm humbled and grateful. Peace, Sam
"100 Tears from now" Melissa Duvall's vocals as well as the musical swaggering groove are so smooth... Well done!! makes me want to sit back and indulge in sipping a fine whiskey!!!And I don't even drink the stuff!!
Thank you, Ronald! Much appreciated!
Sam! Amazed at your stuff! Very Cool! Catnip
Gracias, especially coming from you! Funny, but I don't really even pitch my songs anymore...kinda fed up with music biz people here in Nashville who act like they know what's good when some of them really don't. At 67, I just make the music because that's just what I do these days in my home being happily self-quarantined. I'm semi-officially retired and can pay my bills, so I just keep recording and/or re-recording my stuff at a leisurely pace, LOL! There's a ton of stuff that I haven't even put down yet, so there will be more coming! I do, however, appreciate the kind words, Pat! Glad you're out there, too! Peace, Sam
Sam, your song, "Sing No Evil" has the sound of John Fogarty's, "Runnin' Thru The Jungle" great tune and so is your song.......5 Stars & Likes!! Great Job!! The Corey's.............
Again, you're too kind! Thanks!
You got me again Sam, many thanks for a kind review. Bob
Sam! Master of one is good son! You're skills send chills! Catnip=+=
You're too kind! Peace, Sam
Hi Sam, thank you for that instructive review of "Irving The Terrible". It was a good and fun. Felice
Hello Sam. Thanks for your positive review of Unlovely and Unloved. Regards
Thanks for the kind review of Fare Thee Well Sam. It's a bit obscure really being a medley based on my former regimental march from my military days and a song The Town I Loved So Well. Cheers, Bob
Hi Delta. You reviewed WALTER and you mentioned being curious about what he did. It's based on the true story of his suicide after facing a drug problem. He was relatively young when he got hooked on pain medication after a ski accident in college. He went on to be a rocket scientist, married his college sweetheart and eventually they had twins. His problem with the medication got out of hand and eventually cost him his career, also causing considerable legal problems. His kids were mere toddlers when this happened. I was co-writing one day after it happened and my collaborator was fascinated by the story, so we subsequently wrote the song. Thanks for appreciating it.
So sorry to know that...opioids mess a lot of people and families up.... As a nurse once long ago I won't go near the stuff... Had hip replacement never took what was offered... Tylenol my choice... Thanks for the info...a friend in music🎶🎶🎶
Hey Sam, where can I hear your song, "Walter" can't seem to find it in your Catalog?? The Corey's.........
Everything is alphabetical at my site, but if it's not visible, that may be because of the nature of that tale of suicide in song being based on a true story, I've been asked by his sister not to post it to the public, so it's only fairly recently that I opened it up for reviews. If you'd like, however, I can email an mp3. Thanks for appreciating it!
Hi Sam, we dont know each other yet, but the topic of the song is catching. May I ask to listen to it also ? Thanks
Sure. I'm happy to email it to anyone who sends me their email address. Mine is jericat@yahoo.com
Actually, of all the family members, only one of his surviving sisters is even aware of the song at this point so that's the reason for the secrecy from the public. She thought it was too painful to put out there.
Of course, I understand. Totally.
Sam, You seem to get a lot of my songs for review, not sure you like my music but thanks for the reviews of EL MATADOR AND BLUE STONE MT...both are destine for a cd of American themed songs after my produce finishes final touches... find me a friend of music...Delta
Hello Sam. Thanks for the review of Pow pow pow. Glad you liked the dobro. Mrs. Kate
