Hi I have a song suitable for an opportunity of music licensing. Now I'm preparing a studio record of the song but unfortunately it will not be ready before Deadline...! Is it possible to submit a home recorded demo of my song!? The demo is not high quality but it is clear...!
Siavash, If it is a publisher requesting the content, I would say yes. If it is a a production company, then no. Most of the opportunities require broadcast ready material.....All the best, Roy
Hello Roy, I really am clueless..I am a songwriter who currently copyrights and records her own songs. I do not wish to be a singer at all, my passion is writing. I have no idea what steps to take to get my songs sold to artists. Any suggestions of the first steps to take?

Thank you for your review of "Steppin' out Boogie". this particular piece was all hand coded in midi as a simple "part for part", written as an elementary composition for the beginning jazz band in Big Bear Lake, California, USA. The kids are just learning how to play their instruments and having an introduction to jazz rhythms. Normally I would use a complete jazz orchestra, writing out their parts in Sibelius, handing out charts and then recording.... but not this time. This was a lot of fun to do it all by hand without anything but my fingers adding notes via the computer keyboard in Digital Performer. Glad you liked the piece... Jim Covington thanks again for the review....
