By 2005 the band had recorded numerous original songs at home and were then spotted by Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiras who, after hearing some of their material, instantly offered to sponsor the band under the umbrella of his record company Fame Music. Boro and Raafat then teamed up with bassist Mokhtar and began working on their first album. Digla hit a rough patch when Sawiras shut down Fame Music, however the band never stopped. Tucked away in a small recording studio in Downtown Cairo, Digla completed their first demo in August 2006, comprising of seven songs and titled Free Your Mind. Mokhtar, an already established musician in Egypt brings a lot of experience to Digla.
