2009 MAMA Winner
"I've been in the music industry all my life and this band is very rare. They have natural ability and talent."
-Roy Elkins, Founder/CEO Broadjam
Since Summer 2005, Fedora has been working hard to perfect an original sound that still stays
true to the roots of blues and rock n' roll. Having played nearly 75 shows in 2009 alone, the
band is relentless in their desire to showcase their unique blend of oldies, blues, classic rock
and ear-catching original material that combines elements of all three. Indeed, hardwork does
pay off and the public has taken notice. This year, Fedora earned the opportunity to play four
shows at Austin, Texas's coveted South By Southwest music festival, which showcases the world's
best unsigned bands, as well as playing host to many of the most established names in music.
Back home in Southern Wisconsin, the quartet was honored with a Madison Area Music Award for
Blues Song of the Year, as well as three other nominations for the self-titled debut album,
including Rock Album of the Year. Fueled by their unending desire to both create and perfect something new, the band is working out the final kinks in a plethera of new tunes slated to be released on
their highly anticipated second album this Spring.
